amiibos!: or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Give Nintendo My Money

This is my mentality with amiibos:

Getting a figure of someone who already has a lot of merchandise is cool(The Mario?DK/Wario/Yoshi characters, Link, Pikachu, Sonic), getting a figure of a character who has none before amiibos is even cooler (characters from Punch-Out!!, F-Zero, Kid Icarus, Star Fox, Fire Emblem, any Pokemon besides Pikachu, Mega Man (well, he had very little merch before amiibos), Metroid, Xeno Blade, MOTHER, Pac Man, Wii Fit, remaining Zelda characters, and Animal Crossing. Rosalina being the lone Mario character to not have any other merchandise).

Also, with me now having Pit in my collection, that leaves Little Mac as the only Wave 2 amiibo I am missing.

I'm missing the Palutena part of the ship, but I did get Pit yesterday so I did get a Kid Icarus character.

Speaking of, I have a preorder to pick up (Meant to cancel it, but I have an idea of a gift for a friend so)

There are some amiibo that I kinda want to get because I think they look nice but I already have my frog so I'm probably only getting more once Lucas comes out.

Can we airlift that store out of there and bring it over to my town? Please?

I find it amusing that Little Mac and Zelda only have one figure in that store.

You guys would love it here in Malaysia. We usually end up importing amiibo from Japan, and I've seen game stores with over 20 varieties of amiibo, including the more rare ones.

I even saw a frickin' Wool Yoshi amiibo and that game doesn't even come out in America until October (We usually import US systems).

I just got a Pac-Man to complete the third-party trio.

Avoiding common amiibo can be hard.

I've pretty much gotten all the common amiibo I want at the moment. I don't have Pikachu yet. (Yoshi, Charizard, and Wario are uncommon, and we don't know about Ganondorf)

Rosalina arrived today!

I'll be going to the stores on Friday in hopes of grabbing Palutena. Anyone know what time Gamestop/Walmart/Best Buy stock them?

They've been doing exclusives since wave 3. At least Palutena has a good chance of getting a restock, though since she isn't one of the harder to get rates, it may take a while.

Picked up Wario during the Target restock. This sucker is crazy detailed.

x9 The exact same thing has happened here in Australia over the past few weeks. Even at really popular retailers like EB Games you can get pretty much all of the rare amiibos. Shulk, rosalina, Marth, Lucina, Wii Fit Trainer ect.

Except strangely enough, Peach.

Hilariously, the Smash!Mario figures (And Diddy Kong) are surprisingly HTF

Only amiibo's I'm really missing in my small collection is ZSS and Lucina. I have everyone else I care about.

I do remember posting the link to EB Games Australia's site saying that Smash!Mario was sold out.

So I saw this video on 10 weird facts regarding amiibo, don't know if anyone else saw it, but I'm just gonna assume I'm not the only one around here who saw it.

...That whole thing about the guy who pre-ordered a crud-load of Rosalina amiibo, what exactly was his beef with her? Isn't it good to have a female Mario character who's not an excessive cut and paste clone of Peach? I don't really know what the actual general consensus is regarding Rosalina (I assume most people like her well enough?), but she doesn't get kidnapped 24/7 and her backstory from Super Mario Galaxy 1 was pretty tear-jerky all things considered, which is more than I can say for Peach who constantly gets kidnapped and, AFAIK, has no backstory to speak of, so what's up?
