ITS ON STEAM? I THOUGHT IT WAS A CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE.
BRB GRIM FANDANGOING
I'm having to learn to pay the price4:3 is the OAR. 16:9 is stretching the picture.
... bought.
(sigh) They removed Bruno's "theme"? Why?
I heard it was on PSN too, as well as Steam.
I am gunna get it tomorrow when I get home
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothes"4:3 is the OAR. 16:9 is stretching the picture."
16:9 is fine. Doesn't stretch it that much.
To each their own I suppose. Any stretching bothers me.
You can play in Windowed mode to get rid of the sidebars, if they bother you.
It doesn't look all that stretched to me, and I've played it since 1998.
For the record, it seems that GOG has it (DRM-free, naturally) as well.
My Games & WritingSidebars don't bother me at all if it's maintaining the proper aspect ratio. I just tend to be rather obsessive about it being the right way. There are plenty of people it doesn't matter as much to, yourself included so that's why it's nice that there is an option for it to be played either way instead of being locked into one way or the other.
Some of the sound choices do bother me.
Oh!
I didn't realize it would be out so soon.
Going to play it and probably make a You Tube Series out of it. :) It'll be my first.
How did I know "Run you pigeons, it's Robert Frost!" would earn an Achievement without even looking?
It's on Steam?! I thought it was console-only. Cheers.
WTF? According to the commentary, Grim Fandango was the code name for The Phantom Menace casting - either a shocking coincidence or a bizarre sense of humor on George Lucas' part, because some actors like Peter Lurie actually thought they were being cast for The Phantom Menace when they came to audition for the game.

Well, the game crashed on me on the transition from Year 1 to Year 2, and since there's no auto save, have to do the entire forest over. Again.
Oh, I thought it was PS 4 exclusive, too.
Probably going to get the Vita version, though. Portable + Touch Screen = happy. As long as it's got that commentary. That's definitely necessary for me.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. When Olivia reads her "Grim Fandango" poem, it has her in darkness with a revolving camera (in the original she just remained at the mic). Don't really like the change.
Played the game. Man, it's weird not having something like obvious hints on NPC's on what to do next. Though the puzzles were logical and stuff.
Hate to say this, but the original version is far better than the "remastered" version.
It's not unplayable with a simple app. I'm just going to remove Remastered (I have it on Steam, so if I ever need to...), and stick with the original (which I play on Win7.)
I don't see how the Remastered version is some how inferior considering they changed very little.
Surprised no one made a thread. Just downloaded on Steam.
Observations so far (which consists of the opening cutscene):
