NOTE - Report bugs along with your browser/version, operating system/version, and device. There are thousands of these combinations, and most bugs right now only affect certain combinations.
Tropers - As you are probably well aware by now, we've made a ton of changes to TV Tropes. Although most of the changes you see are primarily cosmetic, we are also part way through a complete overhaul of the backend code. With so many changes under the hood, it is entirely possible we broke a few things. If you find something that does not appear to be working correctly, this is the place to report it.
Please note, this thread is for BUGS only! If you have an idea, wish, or anything to say that is not related to a bug, please do not post it here. Those things can all be posted and discussed on other threads in Wiki Talk or the Tech Wishlist.
The more information you can provide about the bug (e.g., browser, operating system, etc.) and how to re-create it, the more likely we will be able to squash it.
Happy Troping!
EDIT: Here are some things that have been reported:
- Login issues
- Logins not sticking between devices
- Some people are still having issues with dropped logins.
- You can't log in if your username contains a space. Remove the space.
- Javascript: Your device must be able to run Javascript from tvtropes.org, static.tvtropes.org, ajax.googleapis.com, and netdna.bootstrapcdn.com. If you are blocking any of these, lots of things won't work, like editing pages.

I'm on Firefox 39.0.3 on both an Ubuntu PC and a Windows 8.1 laptop and on neither of those devices do I see/get search results now. I have Ad Block Plus, but I don't suppose that has anything to do with it because it wasn't a problem before.

Anyone still having problems with the search?
Works agian for me, thank you. :D
The encoding of the search seems to have been changed: When I type an accented word in my FF search plugin, I get two letters instead if the accent in tfe search page, like the plugin is speakinv UTF-8 and the page suddenly started speaking Windows-1252.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Folders don't seem to be working for me. What's going on?
For me, the folders on https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening aren't working. There's probably other places where they're not working, but that page is the only one I've seen.
They are too long. Some folders need to be split up.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWhen I'm on mobile, I get the desktop version unless I check "request desktop version." Then I get the mobile version. This seems to be a recent issue. I guess they got flipped.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed. When on my iPhone 5 the site will still fail to load sometimes. I brought this up earlier and never got an answer so posting this again.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?On this page https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ArbitraryGunPower the trope named PVP Balanced shows up in the code correctly, as "PVP Balanced" but displays as "PV P Balanced" instead of "PVP Balanced"
That's not a bug. That was formatted as "PvP". It will format it as a Wiki Word. Read about CamelCase.

Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed. It's been weeks? And we still can't embedd videos
The devs are not investing any time in the current site when the redesign is so close to beta.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Wait, "current site" vs "redesign"?
I thought we just got the redesign?

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Nope. That was just a taste. Lots of new stuff coming.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I hope the redesign includes a fix to the broken images issue, which has been determined recently to be somehow tied to click-through links; remove the link, and the image is no longer reduced to a "0 x 0" object (yes, those numbers aren't a typo; checking the page code directly reveals the existence of the images in such a state).

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. With the thread going this wild and next to no facilities to follow discussions at the site, is the dev staff still able to keep track of all the issues? (read: ever heard of bug trackers?)
There is a beta release coming up of the new site design. Many of the issues under discussion here are either incorporated into or superseded by that design. Feedback is still being collected, but there is no point in extensively discussing any iterations or fixes to the current design unless something breaks the wiki.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"A bug tracker is part of the next overhaul, incidentally.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI can't log into the main site, which is strange, because I'm logged in here arent I?
Update: Actually, I don't know what the heck is going on. It seems fine now, so nevermind I guess?

Mario fansite/ blog: www.mechas64castles.netI just had the same issue. Other pages were listed as nonexistent when I tried to go on them.
Maybe the databases lost it for a minute, then fixed themselves, hoping nobody would notice.
Standing on the edge of the crater...We had a database hiccup. Working on isolating the cause.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"The site was down for a couple minutes. Pretty sure it wasn't device-related because both my phone and my computer couldn't get on.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Still Chrome on Windows 7, the site's HTML became unformatted (that is, the background disappeared, the text became Times New Roman, purple links existed) for about a minute there.
Was away from tv tropes for most of the day, came back and search is broken again. What the H*LL happened? Tried what i did before, cleared out cache, restarted and...search is blank XP W/Opera 12.16
