Just placing a couple things here.
First, I'd greatly like to collaborate on a character link with someone else, possibly a sibling one. I want this because srsly, the most fun I've had in R Ps lately is when my characters are linked to others in backstory.

Born into a life of luxury, her parents' high expectations caused her to throw herself heart, mind and soul into whatever she did, whether it was school (where she excelled in the humanities), social life (where she had some trouble, but nonetheless found some very good people to befriend) or duelling (her hobby-slash-passion). After winning a local tourney, she decided she wanted to go pro, and so her proud parents sent her to the best school there is: DIA.

- Short History: Damian is the son of an English Lord, however, despite his lofty beginnings, Damian is a rebellious young man with a flair for the dramatic, oft at the expense of "lesser" things. His Dramatic flair lead him into Dueling which became a passion of his, much to the relief of his father who was glad his son found something to do rather than lounging about. He has since been packed off to the Duelist Institute to cultivate his skill and, hopefully, teach him some life lessons.

Stardust Warrior is a Legendary card, being an Accel Synchro. Accel Synchron is a Synchron Warrior, since it needs a Synchron monster. The Junk monsters beyond Junk Warrior are not (though Junk Destroyer is a Boss).

- Appearance: For causal clothing he usually wears a steel grey button down shirt with dark blue jeans, red and black knitted striped tie, and a charcoal blazer on top. His black leather dress boots are shined to a mirror reflection, and stands a little below average height. Tan skin betrays his Hispanic heritage, and a pair of perpetually clean glasses rest on his nose. The rim of the glasses match the blue of his duel disk. His brown hair parts on the left, and he usually uses cream to curl it on the right hand side.

- Dorm: Turtle Black
- Short History: Seth is the firstborn son of a young English businessman and his Puerto-Rican wife, who met when his father was on vacation. While his mother and father are clearly in love, and have been for years, but Seth has always felt it necessary to prove that he wasn't some kind of mistake. This reflects in his meticulousness of his choice and care of his clothing, and his need to succeed in most of what he does. Through natural talent and hard work he has succeeded at schoolwork and sports, he has moved his interests to dueling, to gain recognition on the world stage. To do this, he figured that he would have to learn from the best institution in the world, that being the DIA.

- Name: Savio Drusus
- Age: 20
- Birthday: October 12
- Sex: Male.
- Appearance: He wears a fairly ordinary blazer in [DORM COLORS], with a seemingly infinite variety of t-shirts underneath, as well as plain jeans. His hair is dark and shoulder-length, with several highlights in a variety of colors. His blue eyes are slightly bichromatic, with one having a slightly greenish shade as compared to the to the other.

- Short History: Of Italian heritage, Savio was born into an American military family that moved around a lot during his childhood. His mother died when he was young as a result of complications arising from a failed liver transplant, and his father, while a good parent, was often very busy with his work, leaving Savio to fend for his own a lot of the time. He found that Duel Monsters was both a good past time, and an easy way to connect with people when he moved to a new area, and he took to the game wholeheartedly. Learning more than a little skill at the game, he made the decision to learn to play professionally, and decided to attend the DIA.

- Short History: Artemis was born to a proud family of German and Greek origins. Unlike her younger brother, who bumbled through school, Artemis accomplished her academic tasks with grace and dignity. She tried to help her brother as much as she could, but his mannerisms eventually became so weird that they began to distance. Artemis even came to despise him, and came to DIA with the intention of carrying her family pride on her shoulders, since she could no longer rely on her idiot brother.

Important note: At the time the RP starts, your Rare and Legendary cards will be locked in to your character! This means that, while you don't HAVE to use them if you change your deck, you may not use other Rare or Legendary cards. There will be plenty of opportunities to earn more Rare cards, and a few to earn Legendary ones.
Outside of those constraints, however, deck alterations may be made at pretty much any time as long as I am notified of the change.

Krika's been accepted fully, Oilbird's duel is being lined up soon, and I'm waiting for Plumbum to put up a character sheet (though he's already done a placement duel). I may add a GMPC after that, and I believe FUNDIP was also interested, but we'll be starting sometime soon, preferably by Wednesday.
I'll put up a Discussion Thread for everyone, too. Also, the RP will start about a week after classes start, so the Discussion will be a great place to hammer out any extra backstory or things that have happened in the first week of the year.

On the northern coast of Great Britain sits the city of Fraserburgh, which houses the Duelist Institute. The foremost center of Dueling knowledge in the world, the DIA is a combined highschool and college, with students spanning the ages of fourteen to twenty-two, and divided into four dorms; Tiger White, Arnis Vermillion, Tortoise Black, and Ventra Azure. The dorms work on two axes, one for the deck and one for the duelist. Decks are measured as adaptability versus consistency, while the duelists are measured on showmanship versus technical skill. Each dorm has a different uniform and location on campus.
Tiger White has a clean, white blazer with black tiger stripes as their uniform, with a fur collar added for college-level students. Their dorm crest, a stylized three-claw slash, is on their right shoulder. They are known to take performers with adaptable decks. Their dorm, often referred to as “the Tigers’ Den”, is a partially underground building building near the west of campus. Their dorm colors are white and black.
Arnis Vermillion has a bright red blazer as their uniform for all students, although college students may instead wear any red accessory such as a hat or scarf if it is marked with their dorm crest, a stylized flame. The crest is usually just worn on a glove on their right hand. They are known to take performers with consistent decks. Their dorm (“the Roost” or “the Sparrow’s Nest”) consists of floors six through nine of the southern observatory. Their dorm colors are red and orange.
Turtle Black has a solid black blazer as their uniform for students, with college-level students being allowed to substitute a black peacoat instead. Their dorm crest, a stylized turtle shell, is worn on their left shoulder. They are known to take technicians with consistent decks. Their dorm, the Big Shell, is a defunct cruise ship docked on the northern edge of campus. Their dorm colors are black and green.
Ventra Azure has a light blue blazer as their uniform, though college students are only required to wear a blue shirt and their dorm crest. Said crest is a stylized dragon head, usually worn on their left hand with a glove. They are known for technicians with adaptable decks. Their dorm is to the east of campus, an eight-spoked circular building with two floors; the Dragon’s Lair. Their dorm colors are blue and gold.
All students are required to display their Dorm Crest at all times. While many students just stick with the traditional placement, others display it on hats, scarves, belts, or other articles of clothing, and some college level students even tattoo it on themselves as a mark of pride. Each dorm’s Duel Disks also display their crest.
The campus layout is simple.
Besides the dorms in each of the cardinal directions, the lower floors (1-5) of Arnis Vermillion also house the science and math building, while the tenth floor is an observatory. To the northwest, there are several docks with anchored sailboats, canoes, and kayaks, as well as space for fishing. Between Arnis Vermillion and Tiger White, there is the Languages department, a three-story building that offers courses on almost any language on earth. The main office is the center of campus. Situated between the sciences building and the Ventra Azure dorm is the Hawkins Library. On the northeast edge of campus sits the state-of-the-art Callahan Duel Arena, which facilitates thousands of spectators for all types of duels, including Turbo Duels, AR Duels, and Action Duels. Entrances to campus are scattered on the southern edge, along with a dock to the northeast for waterborne arrivals. Each dorm has its own mess hall, but any student is welcome in any of them, regardless of their own dorm.
Rules: I reserve the right to refuse anybody to this RP for any reason.
Now, on to the lore of the RP... there is none! No magical card games. No Crimson Dragon, no Signers, no Ancient Egyptian Conspiracy, no Numbers... just card games. However, rare cards are still rare. The following are “mythical” cards that are not allowed for use:
- Exodia*
- Egyptian God Cards
- Wicked Gods
- Earthbound Immortals
- Time Lord
*Only the five Exodia Pieces are rare to the point of myth. Necross, Exodd, Exodius, etc. are all just Rare.The following cards are “legendary” cards, limited to 1 in the RP, and must be claimed. Upgrades may be earned, however.
And finally, the following cards are merely “rare” cards. A player can have 2 Rare Cards in addition to their Legendary Card, or replace their Legendary Card with a Rare card.
*These series may be counted as a single “card” in terms of how many you have, with a few exceptions
There will be plenty of opportunity to earn more "rare" card slots as the RP progresses, and there may even be a few times where you can nab a Legendary Card to really power up your deck.

This is to preserve foreknowledge of another player’s deck beyond what in-universe knowledge has been revealed… plus, it’s more fun. Also, there ARE events in which side decks will be used, so feel free to include one with your deck.
