@tropeslave: Maybe, but those were also more pop-oriented soundtrack albums, with radio hits and all. Frozen has a soundtrack with music that you can't overall separate from its movie and still have all the individual songs make sense.
Plus, "Let it Go", huge as it was on the charts, rarely if ever got radio play on Top 40 radio. Songs like "Stayin' Alive" and "I Will Always Love You", though? Smashes on both the charts and the radio.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. Some nominated songs are good, but most are shit.
What has America come to? -_-
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdBad music, obviously. Thankfully, I live in Ireland.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!Well, the Pentatonix aren't bad.
Except they weren't nominated. You know, SIA, Sam Smith, and Taylor Swift aren't bad. It's just all the dumbass rappers and overrated people that I'm angry about.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdDon't start with this "ohhh murica is doomed we suck we're so dumb blah blah blah" bullcrap.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."I never said we were dumb. I just said that some of our music is. Like Anaconda. What a disgrace.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdI'm just sick and tired of people singling out America as the only place that makes bad music *cougheurovisioncough* and acting like Top 40 radio is the only music that exists here. That's a disgrace.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Eurovision is bad on purpose.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!I don't know if I believe that.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."If ever you are upset about Grammy nominations and winners, just remember that the New Vaudeville Band and their song "Winchester Cathedral" beat out in 1966 "Eleanor Rigby" (The Beatles), "Good Vibrations" (The Beach Boys), "Last Train To Clarksville" (The Monkees), "Cherish" (The Association) and "Monday Monday" (The Mamas And The Papas).
One of these things is not like the others...
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I'll take Anaconda (yes, the music only, watching the music video on mute isn't the song) over this any day of the week.

You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door. There is a small mailbox here.Off-topic, but I still can't believe Just Blaze used that to churn out this piece of crap.
What the hell happened, Just? You produced "Kingdom Come", "What We Do", "U Don't Know"... and then you go and do this?
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."The Grammys always irritate me. Last years bothered me a bunch, and that was one of the most tolerable ones (at least Daft Punk won).
Another green world.I'm still kinda sour about Kendrick getting snubbed.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."As are we all. I have nothing against Macklemore, but seriously?
Another green world.Even Macklemore thought Kendrick got screwed over.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Like that was anything other than an attention grab.
Another green world. And again, even Kendrick has gone on record saying he shouldn't have made it public.
Anyway, Grammys. Who wants to bet Lamar gets snubbed again this year?
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."I doubt it. They're gonna trip over themselves making it up to him.
Anyway. Who do you think will win Album of the Year?
Another green world.Either Sheeran or Sam Smith, but the latter is more likely.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."-twitch twitch-
I'm not even that big a fan of Beyoncé, but if she doesn't win this I'm gonna be pissed, if only because the other choices are so bad.
Another green world. If I cared I'd say I'd be cool with either Beck or Beyoncé winning. And Beck's never gonna win.
Don't really care much for either but the other picks are so excruciating I'd rather like for Beyoncé to win, if at least for the fact that it would kind of cement her place as pop music's reigning lord even further, and I'm cool with that, because even if I really don't like her music all that much, she is one of the few female powerhouse names in mainstream music (if she's the ruling queen of the mainstream world, then St. Vincent is the ruling queen of the indie world) and amidst this still mostly male-dominated field (case in point, she's the only female artist on the best album list) I think it's important to support that status.
You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door. There is a small mailbox here.Speaking of St. Vincent, how much of a chance do you think she has against Arcade Fire?
Another green world.I'd say they have equally good chances of not winning, but Arcade Fire's more likely to take home a Grammy.
Actually, looking at the other nominees, I'd assume Arcade Fire is the most well-known out of all of them, so their chances are pretty good.

To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."
Here's a better question; why do people ask these stupid questions as if the thought of someone liking something they don't is so utterly baffling that it merits questioning?
I absolutely loathe when people ask questions like this.
