I don't think a rename is necessary, but a redefinition might be. What is this trope, exactly?
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.

The trope itself is fairly well defined on the page: it's the phenomenon of a project's quality decreasing as the size of the team working on it increases. There doesn't seem to be any major problem with the description or the examples, though it could probably use a little tightening up, and a line explaining the origin of the name.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.

Judging from the name I think this is an aesop, or at least a general situation when ttoo many thinkers in a group will make their product/project not go smoothly.
I.e wouldn't there be some In-Universe examples?

No, this doesn't have anything to do with that thing that's been blowing up the Internet recently. Well, kind of. Sort of. Okay, so it actually was that page that pointed me to this problem. Here's the trope's entry on that page:
The trope does not appear in any trivia pages, and only appears on two YMMV pages and neither time as an actual trope example, but besides Too Many Cooks the following pages seem to treat it in this manner:
- Useful Notes.Atheism
- Characters.Bakuman (sort of)
- Music.Bob Dylan
- Film.Casino Royale 1967
- YMMV.Facing The Future Series
- So Bad, It's Good.Film
- TroubledProduction.Film 0 To L
- Focus Group Ending
- Characters.Friendship Is Magic Background Ponies Special Ponies
- Record Producer
- YMMV.TV Tropes The Webcomic
- Recap.Regular Show S 05 E 25 Video 101 (again, sort of)
- Film.They
- ZeroPunctuation.Tropes Q To T
For the record, this is for a page with a total of 54 intrawiki inbound links, so 24-27% of the total are of this kind.I can't say any of these uses are wrong, as the trope is broad enough that this could be considered an out-of-universe use, as suggested by the "sort of"s (especially the Regular Show one, which is being listed as an example of this use only technically)... but it's not really mentioned on the page itself, which is an actual trope about a Stock Aesop. This seems to be a weird case where a page has a broad name but is being used more narrowly than it actually is; people seem to be assuming that such a broad name is being used in a TV Tropes-specific way, to describe an aspect of the production of a work. Again, not wrong, but possibly pointing to possible underuse and a missing subtrope.
