This, is what Hentai! should've been.
Same as usual.... Wing it.Remins me vaguely of Working! with more of an otaku slant.
Not amazing, but had a few amusing gags.

Kind of interesting, I guess. Don't feel like saying much of anything about it, though. It kind of flows at a moderate pace and turns ridiculous a few times, and that's about it. Don't really think the ridiculous points, like the speech, adds much to it. Just gets a bit too silly, is all.
Check out my fanfiction!(On the assumption that "denki-gai" is a No Communities Were Harmed version of Akiba. This is the most obvious on the discussion of train stations.)
- I understand chains may need to shrink wrap chain-specific souvenirs, but the Tokyo government expect the manga store to seal their porn?
- Director is voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka. These days, I suspect the character must be a gamer.
- Oh, so Hio is older than Umio.
- Still unsure what is Hio's preference. Since we already have Fu-gal, she is probably not into Boys' Love.
- Sommelier's event. Not exactly a title recommendation event, but a bizarre fetish prediction event. Recall the fetish involved in order:
- Shorts.
- Lolicon.
- Old Little Sister Heroine
- Bestiality.
- As mentioned above, G-men's Rousing Speech. Her fetish is not really the twisted kind, though.
- Comparing the manga production pipeline in this, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, Mangakasan To Assistantsan To and Lucky Star, I somwhoe see a pattern: professional manga tend to be more hand-drawn than doujins, and how Sensei and her team worked is surprisingly similar to what Hiyori did to her own.
- Sensei's infantization.
- Don't freak out over Hio's using her smartphone to pay for trains. Electronically it's very similar to Apple Pay (search for FeliCa), but Japan has been doing that for 10 years.
- OK, now everyone uses smartphones. I was bugged on Nozaki's only one in his cast that doesn't.
- Provided how busy a manga store in Akiba can be, I was surprised the cast can still have Chihaya's work schedule.
I'm unsure if I'm keeping this one, but at this point it is not outright offensive or boring. But it's just hard to judge whether a comedy series is worth to be kept right after finishing Nozaki...

Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaSo payment via NFC's been a thing in Japan for a decade? Colour me surprised.
Give the God Eater game thread some love!
At first it was only for transit cards, but those systems were then expanded to non-transit payments (most of East Asia follows this path) in the mid-2000s. Like most transit cards, though, they continued to be prepaid.

Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaWhy is that surprising?
Check out my fanfiction!Because we don't have that awesomeness yet.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Been able to pay for trains and busses here through SMS for, what is it, seven or eighty years now?
Check out my fanfiction! That's quite a different thing from NFC.
Like comparing radio to digital TV.
"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."Practically speaking, it's still just paying with your phone. Exact method doesn't really matter.
Check out my fanfiction!Well, I'm not sure you understand. There's just no excitement in using old technology to do new things.
"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."Probably true. I'm not that easily excited by new and shiny stuff.
Check out my fanfiction! One isn't excited by romance, the other doesn't care about shiny gadgets... what a Ragtag Bunch of Misfits...
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. The first episode was enjoyable to watch. Funny without going over the top about it, with the bonus of being about otaku. I'll keep watching, and try not to be too disappointed if it goes the way Servant x Service did and become romance comedy rather than regular SOL comedy. Because it looks like that could happen.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.after watching first episode I decided give a shot to manga. If done well it should be far more funny than first episode imply... also far more sad at times
It's keeper for me.

Episode 2!
- The Devil is an Idol? Sounds just as good a concept as The Devil is a Part-Timer.
- A very successful and worthwhile two hours.
- Sommelier-kun is very protective of the shop's loli, unless he's the one knocking her around. I laughed at the door frame scenes.
- Actually he's protective of everyone. He's the entire shop's babysitter. Kind of nice.
- NEVER MIND HE'S NOT PROTECTIVE OF UMIO-SAN AT ALL WTF FU-GIRL.
- Panty race okay.
- It's seriously, literally, just a ball. Calm down. Ball jokes aren't funny any more. Who am I kidding.
- Waifu-carrying race!
- It may be easy to move in, but it looks like one wrong move and that patch of fabric won't be covering anything.
- Okay Female Gaze .
- Dang, she really is a loli.
Well, that was fun.

I couldn't conceive a dream so wet; your bongos make me congo.edited 9th Oct '14 10:09:31 PM by Memers
Probably. I'll give it a few more episodes. Possibly many more episodes.
I couldn't conceive a dream so wet; your bongos make me congo.Sommelier, the silent bro. Ill-advised to piggyback ride him, though.
Whoa, Fu sure is zombie-crazy. And plain crazy.
Absurd contests. But the people are also absurd.
Umio, you unfaithful dastard.
Kameko is totally adorable.
Sommelier and Fu make a great team. Sensei too. Since she's an army of one.
I suppose I enjoyed this episode way more than I should have. But I digress.

So for once Rotten Girl isn't long hand for Fujoshi, she literally is rotten for zombies.
Episode 2. In which they win some, they lose some.
Being tall has its disadvantages. For people you carry.
Not important. Back to sleep.
Good price.
Otaku race.
Why is there no woman with a pair of balls there?
Well, they did say max three.
Kind of a slow episode. For a comedy, there's too much blandness.
Also, poor Hio-tan.
