Chapter 90… my god, that's the first chapter that actually managed to stay serious for 20 pages in a row. Ô.Ô

Alas, 21 was a bit much to ask I guess XD April 1st, twice as effective when it's not on April 1st!

Not sure whether I liked the chapter or disliked it because of that ending… but it definitely has some gorgeous pages.

That last page made up for the lack of comedy in the rest of the chapter. I really love the faces in this manga.

Werewolf guy is cool. Akari is terrifying. Demon granny is a brat. I love this manga.

I always love Sensei + Demon episodes. Those faces, man. Those faces. Amd nice to see you again, Shirou. It's been a while.

...I'll just keep my trap shut. More epic faces, both cool and frightening.

It's often said, but I guess we now have proof of that, considering she seems to be able to kick a high level demons butt....

Regarding Mikan's growing out of her initial "evil reporter" character, should it be listed as a case of Character Development or Characterization Marches On?

(I don't really get the difference between these two tropes, for that matter...)

I think it's the former, as there's a trigger to make her stop acting like an evil queen (her glasses talking, realozing Asahi sees her as a woman).

Characterization Marches On is basically just the author deciding he doesn't like an initial characterization, and retconning it without explanation. Character Development (which is what happened here) is when it happens organically.

Well, I feel like there might be a bit of the former too… her "evil queen" character didn't really have anywhere to go after all. Akane fills that role better anyway.

That's kind of lampshaded, too. The entire glasses chapter was really just Akane going "Evil queen? Sorry, but I'm the REAL Evil Queen here!!"

Speaking of Akane, I wonder if we would get glimpses of her past. She did marry a human once after all. That sounds like possibly interesting plot thread.

I sure hope we will learn more about Akane's past.

Chapter 92. Taking school series tropes to the extreme and lampshading them, as usual. This time, the curious propension for classes to not change at all between two years. Except Mikan is in the same class as the others, now, which makes it easier to plot the confection of the ultimate Russian Choux with Youko. God help the world. Karen is with them too. <=D But god damnit, Asahi and Youko, you're a couple now, start acting like one already! Twice Shy is supposed to be limited to before the hook-up.

Oh, and new character(s), it's been a long time! "Genjirou's final trump card" according to Akane. And… here we go again.

With all these color splash pages, I'm also starting to wonder when a studio will realize that this might make for a popular anime.

Hey, the color page features Asahi's sister. Maybe she'll be relevant now? Didn't she win 9th place or something in a popularity poll despite being a background character...?

I really hope the new characters don't enter Asahi's harem...I actually like the fact that not all girls fall for him.

also,all 5 of the new people are doing the usual "actually,i am..." gesture.so they have secrets as usual.

Shiragami cousin's probably being a vampire,Ninja girl's being a ninja (more clues of Rin's heritage. ), Box girl's...no idea.

Asahi's sis being a brocon?and Sexy!Shiragami's also no idea.
