  • Enhancement:
    • Yggdrasil: A healing spell with some slightly grisly requirements. This magical medicine can heal most injuries and maladies, but it can be incredibly painful and it often takes time for it to work. Not only does this mean using it on otherwise fatal injuries is more or less a race against time, but also that the spell itself might actually aggravate and hasten the death of the body before it manages to fully heal it, because aside from the shock the body experiences undergoing such rapid healing, the initial step towards activating this spell is to shove a large tree seed (like an acorn) into an open wound and let it sprout roots in your body, halting blood loss but also violently invading your body at the same time. All in the name of healing. Yeah. Fortunately, the healing temporarily rejuvenates the body, making you stronger, faster, and more alert as long as the seed's inside you. Just make sure you don't leave it in for too long and let it grow too much...
  • Offensive:
    • Dáinn: An offensive spell that launches a high-pressure stream of compressed air like a blade, slicing through whatever gets in its way. The faster (and thus stronger) the attack becomes, the more the air blade becomes visible to the naked eye, at first collecting dust and debris before eventually becoming plasma.
    • Dvalinn: A spell of "calming winds" which creates an area of high pressure where the air becomes thick, and difficult to move in. Enemies are slowed to a crawl as they try to wade through air that feels like water, and eventually collapse from exhaustion. The spell has a set area of size it cannot exceed, but it can be moved to a different location on the battlefield needed, albeit slowly.
    • Duneyrr: A spell which calls down lightning from thunder clouds, striking whatever target the caster points it to and everything else in reach of it. This spell is powerful but works best when thunder clouds are already present, as their absence increases the difficulty of casting the spell. Channeling it through your palms while shouting "UNLIMITED... POWAAAAHHHHH!" is recommended.
    • Duraþrór: A spell for summoning storms. Using this spell the caster can create rain, thunderstorms, and even tornadoes. Large scale storms are impractical, and require concentration, so the best use for this spell in conbat is making thunderstorms and miniature man-sized tornadoes which will attack the enemy like a cat being forced into a tumble-dryer.
• Abilities and Equipment:
  • Grasscutter: A special elven spear that will always remain sharp, and can even cut through air. It earned its name when the tip merely brushing past a blade of grass was enough to cut the plant cleanly in two. A weapon designed by elves for elves to kill other elves, it is one of only a few weapons that can cleanly mutilate and even kill an elf in just one well-placed strike, as opposed to the damn near half-a-dozen or more it would otherwise take.
  • Dark elf physiology: Elves as a species tend to trade off strength for hardiness and magical ability, becoming physically much weaker than humans but also lighter, faster, and very hard to kill, with more than a few redundant organs (their vitals however, like the heart and brain, remain one per customer) and a skeleto-muscular system that is tightly packed and flexible, making their muscle tissue into a thick second skin fixed to a series of flexible, interlocking joints that imitate human bone structure. Dark elves are an aberration in this trend, as they have abnormal physical strength for elves, almost equalling that of the average athletic human teenager, and are just as hard to kill as regular elves. This has given rise to an elven stereotype of dark elves being warriors and brutes. However, dark elves are by and large sterile and are seen as "mutations" and "abominations", as they lack the magical aptitude of their lighter brethren to boot, being more able than humans but less so than elves. In Eltaria, it is said only one out of a hundred dark elf Spellweavers ever reaches the rank of Master, despite their long lifespans.
  • Hunting: A sort of national pastime for elves, hunting is a skill every Eltarian child knows and knows well. It's the ability to track an animal for days through vast woods and unforgiving wastelands, and to remain hidden until the time is right to strike. It is knowing how to trap, and how to effectively navigate your environment and use it to your advantage. It also involves a lot of archery in typical elven circles, but fuck that.
  • Alcohol consumption: Katze drinks a lot. And yet somehow, never seems to suffer for it.
• Personality: Sarcastic and surly, but well-meaning, Katze is almost always drunk. She can have a short temper at times, but will always stand up for the little guy, and even though she may no longer believe in it, she strives for equality and understanding, and a world where people can love and provide for their neighbor like a brother (and if that fails, fight like brothers, instead of enemies). While she says she's all about LOVE AND PEACE, she tends to take things a little too far sometimes, especially on the battlefield. It's hard to say if this is just her personality or if it's the alcohol acting in her place, but it can make people a little dubious of her intentions. She doesn't think very highly of other elves, describing them as "prissy forest gremlins", and even rebels against her own dietary needs by supplementing the traditional elven diet of nuts, leaves, berries, and a general array of fruits and vegetables with bar peanuts and fruit-based alcohol (and only that).
• Bio: The Red Dragon's main frontline offensive tank, a Spellweaver with a "magic knight" build specializing in offensive buffs and aggressive, destructive magic. When she was a soldier, she held the rank of general. She left her motherland Eltaria years ago once she became fed up with the prejudice she faced as a dark elf, amongst other things (like her stance on Eltaria's foreign policy, that being that there is none). Soon after, she met the Red Dragons and began her work as a mercenary, employing the only skills she was ever allowed to develop.

Out of curiosity, is there an already established Religious Order?

I was thinking of making a Priest/Nun with Hemomancy powers.

There's the Imperial Cult in the Empire, but I'm guessing you can just worldbuild orders operating in the Alliance/Line, or which are being persecuted in the Empire.

@Grim: Would Hemomancy (Blood Magic) be part of the Water affinity portfolio? Also, finished my bios. If I don't become the MC, I can still play Brand.

(Also, I'm having an... interesting time trying to figure out how to incorporate control powers with that. Working on mobile for brainstorming is a little irritating at the moment.)

even if I cant do an imperial paladin I kind of want to do a veteran who defected because he was sick of the war.

Can offensive spells be buffs (like a short speed boost similar to a dash attack) or are offensive spells purely for attacks themselves and not techniques that assist/lead into attacks?
