It does not matters if they are different, you could have still used the other one.
Especially since some people were already using it.
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!Looking forward to this, since I am not going to buy a a vita.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Hopefully it's better than the first anime.
The weirdest thing here is... it's just going to be a cour's worth of episodes. Meaning just 12 episodes to work with, which makes me wonder if they'll just deal with just the additional stuff in the Golden.
Is there a reason to not just do the additional stuff when there's one about the entire game otherwise already?
MMORPGs are serious business.At the very least, all the social links apart from Marie and maybe Adachi's will have to be cut.
Edit: Wait a minute, we already have a P4 anime thread don't we?

Separating this may not be bad IMO. IIRC, the announcements out there say that the episodes are meant to center on the group's time with Marie in Yasoinaba. Though I wonder if Sentai will snag this?
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"According to Blu Ray discs we'll get 13 episodes for Persona 4 Golden The Animation. Not 12.
"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -MugenHuh?? They could barely cram the game into two cours last time! This is probably focusing on a specific timeframe? Or maybe uses a very drastically different storytelling approach?

Working on a manga. With pictures! All feedback welcome!Ongoing theory over in the video game section is that they are going to focus on Marie and sidestory stuff rather than the main story.
There isn't enough content for that. The only really new stuff to add is Marie and Adachi's social links, the ski trip and Hollow forest aaaaand maybe a bit of stuff about bikes? All of those are really short.
As long as we are here:
Since when did we all decide the Persona4 anime was bad?
I was under the impression it was pretty good, but I keep seeing comments about it's poor quality.
When did you all go insane? Did I miss something?
Kishi's attempts at humor fell flat for some people (This is the same show where our hero gave Adachi his retort in the penultimate episode... while lying flat on his face with his ass in the air). Well that, and Kishi himself doesn't have a good reputation for some watchers.

@Myssa Rei
Kishi? This is Persona 4 not Naruto.
The Persona 4 anime was decent for me. Honestly, seen better. Lol @ Random Curiosity comparing the confrontation of the investigation team and Adachi similar to an episode of Detective Conan. It's not even close.

Seiji Kishi, the director.
I thought it was decent myself. I was only pissed off that the really well-animated parts looked so awesome contrasted against the super duper Off-Model parts, it's almost like a different artstyle altogether.
Working on a manga. With pictures! All feedback welcome!Yeah, the budget was all over the place and the game's weird pacing means figuring out how everything should happen in the anime would be pretty hard. At least it worked better than a proper Persona 3 anime series (not the movies) would since that game has even worse pacing from a pure story perspective. It works fine as a game, but there really is not all that much plot to do anything with. And it has a lot less humor.
Not Three Laws compliant.I liked Yu Narukami's personality but the pacing of the series really sucked.
As Zendervai mentioned, that's more of a fault with Persona 4 to begin with. The adaptation just took what was bad to begin with and made it worse .
@Renewal
Eh, the pacing could of been worse. The Persona anime predecessor Persona Trinity Soul had an unbelievably horrible pacing problem. Moreover, it was like a novel than an Anime. However, the new concepts and and poetic symbolism from the in-story book "A Whale's feather" and reference.
"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -MugenAnd Trinity Soul's awful pacing was especially baffling considering that it wasn't based directly on a game.
Not Three Laws compliant.First episode is up on CR. "The Golden Days".
Edit: Judging by reactions(will watch it on friday) its only Golden content all the way. Also Yu seems to be in NG+.

Golden, Episode 1! In which things are somewhat different and there is a Marie!
Yuu is really friendly. Nanako may be even cuter The animation is still nothing special, but the choreography is good. Marie is adorable. With just the right amount of brattiness; it is so difficult to get that right.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.So is Yu no longer a Cloud Cuckoolander?
Since this Anime and the original are different I thought I might as well make a thread for it.
Next Thursday the Anime premieres. Prepares my fellow Persona 4 fans ^^
