Maybe it's just me, but I've been noticing that Muppet is often used on a number of different Puppet Shows pages throughout the wiki, even though some of these Puppet Shows are not the works of Jim Henson, or work belonging to The Muppets, which kind of gets me to wondering...

We have a page called All Animation Is Disney, which is the misconception that all well-known and received animated feature films are Disney movies... perhaps, because of the use of the trope throughout the wiki that Muppet should be renamed to All Puppetry Is Henson? This almost seems to be as common a misconception as thinking Don Bluth movies are Disney movies (a puppet with a mouth that opens and closes, and hands operated by rods or gloves? Oh, they must be Muppets), and again, there's already evidence of this throughout this very wiki.

Again, it could be just me, but still...

I don't think people are confused over who makes what, they are just using the word Muppet the same way they use words like Kleenex, Band-Aid, Bobcat, Rollerblade, Vaseline and so on.

Pretty much no-one using the word Rollerblade know that the trademark is owned by Nordica, or that it's a trademark at all.

It still tends to be a general misconception. In fact, just to give an example, Wimzie's House once faced a lawsuit on the grounds that it was a rip-off of The Muppets (though, to be fair, one of Jim Henson's former puppet builders built the puppets for this show as well).
