A medieval fantasy story about a knight who aspires to become a hero, and he spent half of his entire life to master his swordsmanship, archery and horsemanship, hoping that he can both protect the peasants and impress his lord through battle and glories.

However, little does he know, as the use of guns and firearms have gradually become widespread, wars and battles are now unscrupulous, and the people have grown tired of feudal systems as the society marches on.

The end result is a miserable man hiding in a set of elegant Gothic Armor, desperately clinging to bring back the past and cannot accept the change of society. His wish of living a knightly life brings nothing but miseries. Instead of being a hero he dreamed of, he becomes a liability for everyone. By the time when the feudal system is abolished and most of his friends were gunned down in a recent battle, he finally snaps and becomes a full-fledged outlaw, attacking whoever tries to rob him of his medieval dream.

It is that moment, the story is revealed to be not a heroic medieval fantasy story, but rather, a tragic story about a broken person living at the end of the medieval period, who simply can't move on from the past and accept that the end of medieval period is inevitable, there's no such thing as a feudal system anymore, and that he can't live as a knight when the medieval period has already ended.

[down] You may say so, both are quite similar.

This was my first original idea, I got this idea in middle school, and if this already exist I will probably give up on having any original idea ever.

An female-only ancient warrior tribe called "The Red Cloak" holds a combat ritual every one-hundred years, where the youngs fight in a big battle as teams, and they fight until only one team left alive, they then have to fight each other to the death, and whoever survive to the end is dubbed the title "The Red Riding Hood" and tasked with the mission to obtain items to offer to the Great Elder Goddess "The Grandma", so she can become the tribe's new protector with the Grandma's blessing.

These items inclue: The scale of the Leviathan, the feather of the Phoenix, and the heart of Cerberus.

Scarlet, the winner of this year's combat ritual, the youngest and smallest of all, nicknamed "The Little Red Riding Hood" went insane from slaughtering all her friends, kills all the tribe elders including her own mother, and set out on a journey to finish the task she's given so her friends won't die in vain.

But unbeknownst to her, the "wolfs" are watching.

A story about a human female-deer hybrid. The setting is Earth 2070. Humanity has discovered that elves are coming back (the audience doesn't know this.) Magic exists, and the human race isn't going to be able to effectively fight back without it. This magic exists as a separate system that overlaps the nervous system. What determines a races magic potential is how many times this bundle of magic nerves appears. Most humans only have one set of magic nerves, one in a million have a mutation that gives them two magical nervous systems.

Elves usually have 3 to 5. So in order to make a super weapon to counter this imbalance there's an organization that operates deep in the african tropical rainforests. Bribing local leaders to keep their organization existence a secret. They have performed secret experiment that combine humans with animals. Earth fauna actually possess much more magical powers than humanity but are (mostly) too dumb to use them.

Our story focuses on subject Cervus Elaphus O Potestate Irritum CEOPI(N). Combined with the species in the name she possesses 5 magical nervous systems. 3 from the Cervus 2 from herself.

Not all magic is similar however, some show specialities. CEOPI(N) nullifies magic, however her full potential is unknown as she has only access 1 of her extra magic nervous systems. Managing to nullify large magical attacks beyond human powers, her ability to go on the offensive is unknown. However humanities weapons soon rebel and the facility is destroyed by the human-animal hybrids. Just as the rebellion spreads from the African rainforest the elves arrive in a large scale calamity.

Earthquakes break off oregon from America, new islands rise in the pacific carrying the elfen population who soon begin deliberating on their and humanities position in the new world. Continent of Africa is forever separated from Eurasia governed by a new another new species of human making.

A medieval fantasy adventure about incel/nice guy culture

A brave young hero goes on a quest to save a fair maiden who had been promised to him since birth from a dark evil overlord. Fair maiden is kinda quick witted though and seduces the dark overlord whose honestly kind of dumb.

At a crucial point, hero storms the castle with his companions to save the maiden but is shocked to see the overlord dead on the ground with a knife in his throat and the maiden standing triumphantly over him.

Hero declares his love and basically orders maiden to come back with him to his simple farm life, be his housewife and make him babies. Maiden politely rejects his offer and says she's always been "owned" by someone in some fashion and would rather be her own master. She will take over the Evil empire and be it's new ruler.

Hero goes ballistic and says this isn't how this is supposed to go. She's supposed to fall helplessly into his arms and he needs to carry her out. Maiden laughs at this and hero gets even more pissed off.

Hero's companions agree with the maiden and think reforming the Empire is a great idea. Maiden makes a final plea for the hero to come to his senses and maybe they can rule together, she'd be okay with a political non-romantic marriage but hero tells her to fuck off and vows revenge.

And that's just ACT 1.

One or two twists in a story is fine, Shyamlan-esque even. But please don't turn the poor thing into a Twizzler!

A fantasy war story between two warring nations, one of them is an oppressive society which believes that free will is evil and they enforce collectivism and equality on everyone; the other one is the polar opposite: a war-loving warrior society that venerates social darwinism, rampant nationalism, superiority over foreigners, social hierarchy and individuality, and they actually have feudal lords and noblemen. The main characters are two different groups of adventurers working for the respective nations, and both groups are destinated to kill each other all because they have different worldview and are serving opposing factions.

As wars have become unscrupulous, both nations gradually upscale their weaponry. They start out with knights equipped with standard medieval weapons, but when the war between them escalates, both factions come up with "mages" with tradition wizard hats, robes, and staves... which actually are bolt-action rifles, which implies that the story might not even be set in medieval period, but rather, a post-apocalyptic period where the survivors scavenge anything they come across and emulate medieval societies in order to re-establish civilizations.

Meanwhile, things start to go off the rail when a third party emerges: a mysterious faction led by an evil necromancer who regularly scavenges corpses on the field and converts them into his troops.

Unlike both of the nations, which used technology to emulate magic, the mysterious necromancer has access to actual magic, and he's the last living member of a Witch Species thought to be extinct. It's in all but implied that he didn't start out as an evil person, but rather, a naive person who genuinely believes that the power he's born with can grant "immortality" to everyone. However, when the rest of his kind were all hunted down by the religious authorities of both factions at a few years ago, either because they flat out despise magic, or because they believe that a species that can harness magic is too sinful and unclean to exist, he finally snaps and becomes an evil sorcerer as they wanted.

By the time when he finally emerges and starts invading both nations with his undead army, the nations were worn out in battles against each other, and he uses this opportunity to subdue both factions and enslave both the living and the dead.

And now, the heroes who used to fight each other at wars would now have to work together, cast aside their worldview and team up against a greater threat... or do they?

A girl finds a bunch of magic books and discovers that she is able to “step” on them (and by that I mean a Portal Book). She starts having adventures with the characters but unwesknown (I don’t know how to spell that) to her, a Evil Mage is planning to destroy the books and get the magic items that they store so she needs to make a team of Spin-Offspring OCs to find the objects first and fight the mage. All while trying for some reason to not being a Cliché Storm.

A girl with a "vivid" imagination is always taking about her adventures with her plush toy friends. The teachers hope that her Fantasy-Forbidding Father would help her focus on her school work and stop drawing all over her math text books.

It turns out that the girl and her parents are from a magic land and are hiding in "our" world. The plush toys are alive and are her friends.

When her parents are abducted by the evil wizard they were hiding from, she enlists her friend and her teachers - taking them to the world of TalkingAnimals and magic...

A story that takes place in a No Woman's Land, and the protagonist is a closeted transwoman. People might just interpret it as low self-esteem, because why would a man want to be the "inferior" gender?

Or the opposite - a closeted transman living in a Lady Land.

Some Ironic Hell ideas:

  • A Phony Veteran finds himself fighting the war and battles that are the basis of his lies - only this time it's for real and every time he dies, it starts all over again.

  • An Alpha Bitch who became a "social media influencer" finds her social media accounts now contain all her moments, and her many Role Ending Misdemeanors are MORE popular than her being "sexy".

  • A bigot and/or sexist doesn't get turned into the target of their hate, The Powers That Be decide that's too good for'em. Instead they get to experience ALL the hatred and bigotry experienced by people they know. In a month, it will be the people in their town, next month it will be the people in their state, the month after that it will be the entire world and the month after that....

  • A Corrupt Corporate Executive has caused many people to die because of his decisions. Whether it's denied care, a faulty product etc - a bunch of people died and it's his fault. Turns out that the ability to talk to the dead runs in the family - and the dead wish to have a chat with him.

  • A General Ripper or Insane Admiral has built a Space-Filling Empire on conquest. The goal? Take over the galaxy and burn the family name in the history archives. But this character is The Dreaded - no one dares speak the name lest they call down doom. The Trickster comes to warn this character that they are on the path to destruction - naturally the character doesn't believe The Trickster. They are both caught on the flagship just as The Hero and The Alliance destroy it. Now dead, the character and The Trickster have a dialogue. "AH ha!" says the villain, "My name shall live on". The Trickster is quick to point out "No one spoke your name, wrote it down or logged it in their archives because they feared and loathed you. Now your ship is destroyed, the alliance will splinter and yes the galaxy will burn. But you had no heirs, your family died fighting your wars and now will be forgotten as memory fades". The villain discovers that The Trickster was right.

An author writes a story but his main characters start talking to him in his mind but as his story progresses, they're not overly fond of how he's writing it, so they possess him and start fighting for control over the story.
