Put me in motion, drink the potion, use the lotion, drain the ocean, cause commotion, fake devotion, entertain a notion, be Nova ScotianAre there any books you want Sparky Sweets to give a bit of that Thug Note magic to?
I personally want him to review one of my favorite books Things Fall Apart. Mainly in how he can discuss the African reaction to colonialism as well as talk about how the book is pretty much an antithesis to Heart Of Darkness (another one of my favorite books)
I'm having to learn to pay the priceI caught a couple videos of this some time back. It's amazing how he can make these books sound so simple and easy and yet still show clear understanding.
Though I have to say, his Wuthering Heights vid is probably the most positive interpretation of Heathcliff I've ever seen. The way I remember it in English class Heathcliff was a manipulative scoundrel who "won" by becoming the very evil that had tormented him.

I really liked reading the The Count Of Monte Cristo in high school, so I like him to do that.
Also maybe I Robot? I loved that book but it's more of a loosely connected group of short stories rather than a novel so I'm not quite sure how it would work.

I'm having to learn to pay the priceThat Dorian Gray critique got me sweating cold sweat. Dude be awkward when talkin' bout the gayness, yo.
Overall, the man tends to make every protagonist look sympathetic and understandable. I dunno if I'm down with that, but I do feel a sudden need to actually go read dat shit and find out for myself, know wha'm sayin'?

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Gettin' romantic with Oedipus The King
I be likin' how friggin' positive his portrayal of the whole thing is, again. Instead of being about Oedipus's hubris bein the Fatal Flaw that doomed him, his relentless search for the truth, no matter the cost, was the only act of freedom he was allowed in a world where You Can't Fight Fate. Sheet, bro, I never even thought of it that way.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.New vid this week:
Huh. Many people in the comment section hate the crap out of this book, probably similar to Catcher In The Rye.
It's the difference between Jerk Protagonist and Villain Protagonist.

These are hilarious and brilliant and should be shown in all high schools.
SUMMARY: It's a stereotypical gangsta dude giving some genuinely solid analysis on literary classics.
