what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseThe links get broken because they are so long, but you can correct the URL in your browser's URL box.
They are good examples of the trope, but if you are not familiar with Marvel characters, they are not good page images.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Meh.
I don't know how to change the URL while still linking to the image.

what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseto both OP suggestions, could easily make JAFAAC. Plus they bring Duality Motif to mind.
The examples list gives us this, the last three panels would work. And Everyman◊ from DC.
Hm, no to either of the first suggestions but 5.1 is good (though it is EGS) and 5.2 is very JAFAAC.
No to both 1.1 and 1.2, sorry. They look like two people with a dual clothing motif. Don't know what 5.2 is. 5.1 seems OK to me.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI don't think 5.2 is JAFAAC, he does talk about his powers in the text. But yeah, I prefer 5.1 too.
5.2 just has a guy saying he changed, we don't know what he was before, might have not been human.

I'm a little confused by this trope. A shapeshifter that can only take human forms? That's very common, so why are there so few examples? Is this trope a duplicate? Oh, and to the OP's for reasons everyone else stated.

That's actually really good. It still looks like him. It's subtle, but somehow, I can tell that he can't turn into a Giant Enemy Crab.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWith the Sparkles and the surprised look it looks more like a spell than an ability.
Yeah, getting an odd vibe of Baleful Polymorph there.
I think that's stretching that trope a little too far.
Blame the character's expression, didn't look very willful and Involuntary Shapeshifter didn't seem correct as it looks like someone was changing them, not changing themselves.
There are a lot of examples from EGS, though. Just not sure where to find them.
Check out my fanfiction!I'm still good with 5.1
5.1 looks good.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseRE 5.1 - the last two panels or last three? Or maybe 5+7?

I don't think the last two would work.
5+7 maybe.
I think having all three is the best.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseAll three, for me.
So should we get a crowner?

Or this?
