I like the suggestion, also the title is linking to The Glasses Comes Off, not The Glasses Come Off (comes/come).

Velma would be much better on The Glasses Gotta Go than the current for that, since it shows nerdy with them on, and the other is just a cute girl holding glasses. There's also a large amount of misuse on this page confusing it for The Glasses Gotta Go, probably thanks in part to the image. This is an action trope not a beauty trope. AS the laconic says: "Remove Nerd Glasses to prepare for action." Suggestion is indeed an improvement, although it helps to show panel #5 to show that he's preparing for a fight.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.Adding the 5th panel would make the file size too big, although his second line in that panel ("...am I going to have to use force?") would make a good caption. And shouldn't it be clear from the dialogue that he's preparing for action?
Anyway, this would probably suit better at the TRS, but I also think these tropes need to be renamed. The Glasses Come Off and The Glasses Gotta Go sounds like People Sit On Chairs, and it's really easy to confuse one with the other, because the trope name does not attempt to make any distinction between the tropes themselves.

Clock is set. I'm good to move the Velma pic to The Glasses Gotta Go and use the suggestion for The Glasses Come Off.
I'm tempted to wonder if panels 5 and 7 of the suggestion would work without panel 6.
Then the dialog in 7 would be ambiguous, unless we crop it out.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.I support the move, and think that the suggestion is better with the 5th, 6th and 7th panels.
Here's 5 - 7 at 350 with a slight compressing of the panels for space-saving.
5 seems like it is unnecessary.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I guess I was thinking of post 3: if the current on The Glasses Gotta Go is "a cute girl holding glasses", isn't panel 7 without panel 5 the exact same pose? But I guess it's possible to get enough context to get the idea across anyway...
First post in new year for me: @9 seems OK to me for The Glasses Come Off.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanPanel 5 shows him rolling up hus sleves, illustrating that he's getting ready for a fight without dialogue. That's why I'm in favor of keeping it.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.I guess @9 works (I somehow confused it with panel 3 and made the file size too large by trying to add it)

Bump; any other thoughts?
I've reclocked this one since we've got separate things going on and discussion on both of them has stalled. Proposals as I see are:
- Replace the pic on The Glasses Gotta Go with the current pic on The Glasses Come Off.
- Use the suggestion in 9 for The Glasses Come Off, or at least get a couple of takes on it and possibly have a crowner.
For me, for both, especially the first.

I give for both options as well
Alright, the clock's up. Not a lot of consensus, but given the current problems, the fix is needed. Thus, the Velma pic has been moved to The Glasses Gotta Go (I kept the caption, cull it if it doesn't fit) and the Slightly Damned pic has been put up and tagged on The Glasses Come Off. Add a caption if you want one; locking up.
The page image is confusing itself with The Glasses Gotta Go. This trope is about a Nerdy character removing their Nerd Glasses to be able to kick ass. The Velma pic is quite obviously removing her glasses to make herself look more more attractive. I think this image should be moved to The Glasses Gotta Go, and for replacement, we can use the 6th and 7th panel of this◊
