Hello, my troper friends. I am a newbie, and I have a request for Our Gnomes Our Different. I like the picture, but I have a request. Have you ever heard of Gravity Falls? I have a list of images that involve GF's version of gnomes that may be suitable. Have an excellent day! I just need to find out how to get the images in this post, because in my first try, it says that 'hotlinked images are not available.'

Hi, since you're new, I'll explain a couple of general things about Image Pickin' that make things easier for all of us. First, enter the name of the article in CamelCase, like OurGnomesAreWeirder, no quotation marks or spaces. Second, you got the name of the article wrong, although that is okay because I fixed it. Third, it is very, very important to provide at least one link to an image, since anyone not familiar with Gravity Falls.

But since you didn't know, I'll explain how to provide a link to an image.
Type it like this: [[http://www.strangekidsclub.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/gravity-falls-rainbow-gnome.jpg]] and you'll get: [1]

And one final point, if an image already exists, as I see that it does, then it's generally good to provide a reason why it can be improved.

Everything said, I like the barfing rainbow over the current, which is a little boring.

To post pics, you can either use the image uploader tool (in my signature, or in the Tools menu on the left side on the wiki) and post the pic as such:

||URL||

or you can post it as such: [[URL description]] so the link will show up in your post.

EDIT: Or I could be thoroughly ninja'd by Rethkir.

Thank you, Rethkir and Wilbyr! Rethkir, I tried my best to do what you told me to do! Wilbyr, what does 'ninja'd' mean? No offense meant. Have an excellent day! [lol]

Now that I think of it, would the barfing gnome be meme-based, because it has turned into a Memetic Mutation? In any case, here's my other ideas: [1]: Dipper's Journal's Gnome Page [2] Gnome-Former! Creepier than meets the eye! (I couldn't resist writing that.) [3]] Jeff the Gnome and his squirrel companions.

How about this one? Weakness to leaf blowers is weird for gnomes.

"Ninja'd" (past tense of "to ninja") means that Willbyr began writing his post when there were no replies to this thread, but Rethkir was writing a post at the same time and got there first, making Willbyr's post less relevant. It's like a ninja sneaking in first without the second person knowing until it's too late.

I think that the suggestion in post 6 is the best so far, provided it resizes well, followed by 5.2 and 5.3.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

I like the current because it highlights the characteristics of a gnome. With that in mind, I prefer 6 and 5.1.

It's very easy to be the victim of ninjas if you open up a lot of tabs and go through them all at once. Means there will be a lot of time before you even start reading the page, let alone respond to it.

Hint to avoid ninjas:

  1. Middle-click (or whatever you have for opening links in new tabs) the "back" button before you click send.
  2. Check for updates.
  3. Correct if necessary.
  4. Profit.

I agree with the sixth image.

EDIT: I agree with all of the pictures, especially the barfing gnome.

5.2, really is what works for me.

@5 I'm not concerned about the memetic implications of the rainbow barfing gnome, since it's directly from a work and not a macro. Should we put this up to a crowner?

The memetic implications were actually the reason why I didn't support that one.

I had completely forgotten about that meme.

I hadn't and that's why I went with 5.3 as it hits the mark we want without being memetic in nature.

I like the puking rainbows, and its directly from a work, not a macro, so its really unrelated to the meme as far as I'm concerned.

And we still don't have consensus, but since we do have some options that were very close to each other, I've hooked a runoff.
