Poor Image: Fighting Clown

I can vaguely see a picture of a clown, but the image is way too blurry to see the "fighting" aspect of it. I have no suggestion at the moment, but I think we can do better.

Please do not start threads for this reason.

How so? The image quality is terrible. I think it's a perfectly valid reason to bring this up.

"I think we can do better," sounds like you're saying Keep Until Better Image Suggested. If that's not what you mean then say so. I say pull. When I look hard enough I can make out a clown but I see no fighting. It looks like he's holding something and it might be a weapon. We need something clearer or nothing. It sounds like this doesn't even need to be a literal clown, just a silly character.

@3: OP should have a suggested image or a case for pulling without replacement.

The Fat Princess is my favorite as well. I don't like the Hakushon pic because it's not really clear who's winning.

5.2 or 5.3 seem like good options, 5.2 has a slight edge for literalism.

I count literalism against the images.

The Fat Princess is the best one. Which is the one I assume you mean by 5.3, as it's the fourth image by current post edit. Chained links are bad.

5.4 then, yes. Literalism at least in this case helps somewhat to differentiate this trope from Lethal Joke Character.

Current image is terrible and hard to see. OP was right to start a thread. A suggestion is usually best, but not always necessary. In this case, I'd avoided a literal image because the name is slightly misleading. That said, Fat Princess is good.

I basically second this. That pic is awful.

While I see a bunch of people going against literalness here, I nevertheless went to see if better-quality images of the current exist.

Well, no. None do. But there are others of the same character.

There could be a framegrab from this video, perhaps, or some◊ emulator◊ shots◊.

We'd need to at least see it fighting (or looking like it's doing well). Nothing about it says anything other than Joke Character or, other than the screen, that it's even capable of fighting.

Throwing this out there: Roger from Tekken◊. Or Panda◊ from the same.

The panda is also good. The rest, not so much. As of now, I'd put it between Fat Princess◊ and panda.◊ These are really the only two that I think are good.

Absolutely not.

Or rather, the problem is not a thread being started (or not) at all, it is the way it was started. The current image being pullable doesn't justify this way, nor does later additions making it a "valid" thread.

Even if a good case could be made to pull an image without replacement, it wasn't made in the OP. "I don't like it" and "We could do better" are not good reasons to start an IP thread. Either make a concrete suggestion, or a case that the image is worse than nothing, in the OP.
