The Lancer’s headlights cut a blue-white beam through the darkness in the warehouse district of Fairmile City. Already, it was busy, with drivers and spectators descending on the area in a sea of neon lights and bright graphics. It was an odd mix of rice burners, sleepers and cars that fell somewhere in between, in that they were actually capable of cashing the cheques that their appearance wrote.

Eventually, it drew up beside the crowds, its modified two-litre straight-four engine purring menacingly, like a growling tiger. And then it burbled to a stop, and the driver stepped out. Just about everything about her was red, from her hair to her jacket, shorts and boots, to the bodywork of the car that she’d left behind. In fact the only things that weren’t were her orange tube top, black stockings and various green accents on her clothing. That was half the reason why people called her the Red Devil. The way she drove certainly didn’t help matters.

“So who’s ready to rock and roll then?”

So yeah, it’s some bizarre crossover AU RP thing where all the characters are either a street racer or one of the cops chasing after them. Thankfully this should be a bit less plot heavy than my previous attempts but it’s still pretty dang niche. Either way let’s see how it goes.

Fairmile City. A fairly average place somewhere in America. Not much out of the ordinary happens here.

Except once the sun goes down, when the streets echo to the sound of horsepower, much to the disgust of local residents and the police. These same sleepy streets become a battleground for the cream of automotive technology from across three continents and beyond. Snorting American Muscle Cars line up for full-bore quarter mile runs between the lights, and the lighter, nimbler European and Japanese sports cars zip through the back streets.

All of this is co-ordinated by one man. Or at least, people think it’s one man. Every night, the city’s racers receive an e-mail from an anonymous source known only as “The Admin”. This e-mail is what tells them where to meet for that night’s races, and so far the FCPD has had no luck tracking down exactly where The Admin is hiding. There have been arrests, but since no-one racing knows who The Admin is that’s not a lot of help either.

I like the backstory, now I need to decide who my racer should be.

• Personality: Brash, loud and aggressive, with a side of ego in there too. This comes across in her driving style as well, where she’ll often try and intimidate another racer out of her way.
• Side: Racer
• Backstory: Asuka’s something of a prodigy in the racing world. She’s been pounding the blacktop since the day she got her license and racking up fines ever since, working her way up from a Nissan 240SX that was about as old as she was to her trademark red Evo.
• Car: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, which she can be seen leaning on in the pic above.

• Name: Dante Sparda, "The Nephilim"
• Age: 24
• Gender: Male
• Appearance: On a racing break.
• Source: Devil May Cry
• Personality: Arrogant, spiteful and downright rude. He's also very physical in driving his car: if there's an obstacle in his path - be it another racer or a cop - he will keep smashing them until they either crash on the side of the road or relent.
• Side: Racer
• Backstory: A native to Fairmile City, Dante lost his family as a kid: his father - incidentally, a cop - got them involved into mafia reckoning. His parents were shot and his twin brother went missing. Becoming a recluse, he initially became a simple street thug, but what kind of life is it in a long run? He got a hold on a used-up Jensen, tuned it up a little and started using it in street races. Lacks in terms of speed he made up with an argument of a physical strength, brutally pushing his way to the top. The numbers of fines and wanted letters for carnage he left in his path quickly increased in number, but Dante himself at least found his calling.
• Car: Jensen Interceptor◊, issued with some reinforced layers to add an extra argument in physical squabbles.

Her long-term goal is to become a full-scale Paramedic and work for the city's EMS.
