I have just one point to make though - while you are welcome to skip questions if you don't want to answer them, skipping all the questions about usernames doesn't help with my results at all, given that's the actual topic of the thesis.

Hey guys. I’m currently studying Sociology Honours, and I intend to be write my Honours thesis about online usernames and identity.
Now, I've done some in-depth one-on-one interviews already for my main information, but I'm also looking for some supporting data - which is where you guys come in.
I'm currently asking people on a few different websites if they'd like to do a short online survey about their usernames. The survey is about your experiences with names online, is completely anonymous, and should only take a few minutes to complete - though some responses are open-ended, so if you have lots to say, feel free.
