Please stop comparing everything to everything else
Anyway, this is one of the series I was most interested in coming in. I think it turned out pretty well! Good art direction, and the fate of the victims is something I haven't seen before
Um, why?
Is it wrong of me to do so?
I don't think it's your decision if I should or should not compare it to other things.
I was just saying man.
I'm keeping an eye on this regardless.
Watch SymphogearIt's more of a horror than a Magical Girl series, and I can't say I like the art style, but it's very enigmatic with what seem to be diverse characters.
Also, plants.
Grass-tan with the coyote (or rabbit) ears is probably going to be my favorite.
Interesting how not only are they erased from the world if they die, but time resets itself one day.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Ah, so that's why I couldn't find this thread.note
This is certainly... interesting. Honestly, I was liking everything until I realized that the cousin was probably erased from existence. Now I don't know what to think.
If it turns out all the victims are RetGoned I expect some serious My God, What Have I Done?.
I like that they've clearly Shown Their Work when it comes to Tarot.
Ugh, Tarot Motifs. My one weakness! Alright, watching.
Main character's voice is annoying. It's not even the typical high-pitched annoyance. She sounds like a squeaky mouse. Music seems decent at first glance, though melancholic rather than upbeat.
I'm a bit confused by the art style. The backgrounds and light are really pretty and atmospheric. I especially like the ivy-thingy Akari has in her room. The animation during the fight was also beautiful. I really don't like the character designs though. Way too skinny, appendages look way too weird, and they don't blend in with the scenery well. The glossy hair tint is also offputting.
Not a whole lot in the way of plot, but I suppose they're trying to play up the mystery angle at first. I like that. Wonder where the cousin went. And really, Hinata and Akari Taiyō? The sun symbolism isn't even subtle.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI'm not sure what the point of Fuyuna's disappearance was. Seems like they could have put that off and milked the drama later on.
The Ret Gone + one day rewind combo is interesting. Not enough investment in the show to be affected by its melancholic tone.
Great action scenes, with cool monster designs. I'm a bit iffy on the general art style, but at least it's high quality.
The whole ret gone/reset button combo could become really annoying if a team of magical girls, or whatever they are, have to fight a dangerous boss and keep having to fight it over and over with one less member every time.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Looks like there is a duplication of pages. I hope this is the right place but I really hope that someone who has more technical skills than I am could step up and merge these: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Anime/IlSolePenetraLeIllusioni and https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Anime/GeneiWoKakeruTaiyou into one anime page. I thought I made it first but then somebody beat me to it. I humbly ask for apology for I thought I did the right thing. Again, I apologize OTZ.
I redirected the page for you, but it's very bare-bones. I'm also mightily annoyed a show can't go two episodes without being labeled Madoka x CCS, even though we've barely seen any superficial similarities.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerThey are two popular works in the genre. But, yes I'd remove that line entirely.
Once I get on my laptop I'll probably rewrite the opening paragraph too.
Merged the pages(and made a character sheet...eventually)
edit: I'm an idiot. I checked all the spelling except for the url. yeesh. <smack> . Fixed now.

...it might help if you spelled "Character" correctly. I'd fix it myself, but cell phone.

Double posting to say I got that opening paragraph written. Also added a redirect from Day Break Illusion, which is part of the English name.
Bleh. "Daybreak illusion" is kind of the opposite of what the other titles mean
Not Daybreak Illusion, Day Break Illusion. Day and Break being separate words keeps the meaning consistent with the other names, albeit with Hulk Speak.

Okay. So it's just terrible grammar
@ lu 127-san: Thank you for it.
Now I am going to rewatch the first episode to dig in more. So far, it really has a feel of CCS and Vision of Escaflowne (minus the mechs and medieval Europe style) with a dose of Black★Rock Shooter and Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
Escaflowne? How so?
What's CCS?
Card Captor Sakura. Seriously, are you that young to NOT have grown up on Sakura?
I grew up watching Sakura, but it still took me a while to figure that acronym out when I first saw it.
...Don't watch the English dub of Sakura.
(Personally I never saw it. But I read the manga about five times since the sixth grade.)
...sorry off topic.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Interesting art. I agree that the character designs aren't that great. I don't know much about tarot cards, so a lot is probably going to fly over my head. This definitely has a horror feel to it. Plenty of questions have already been raised. Cousin's death was certainly quick. What's with the monsters going for strangulation twice?
This looks like it'll be good. Or at least interesting.
Made a thread.
Interesting first episode.
Felt like a Bloody and gorey version of Card Captor Sakura (With the card based motif) mixed with Touhou style magic, Madoka Magica styled design choices, and a Shakugan No Shana styled transformation sequence.
I will keep an eye on this one.
