This seems to be both Does Not Illustrate. ( there's not much in the way of visual resemblance) and Fan Myopia. (who are these people exactly?)
I'm going to say this one isn't a good idea.
I do like the format though, and If we find an example wherein the decomposites look somewhat like the original then we'd be in the clear.

Well G4 dash does resemble G3.5 Dash, But as the similar illustration on Era-Specific Personality shows, she did not inherit her personality. Rarity on the other hand does share similar traits (The Fashionista and accent bit, though done a little differently) But those traits are not physical. Plus you could say that about any character anyway.
If it needs to be explained then it isn't a good image and this makes no sense to those not familiar with both shows. I'm not sure I even like the image for Composite Character because most of the examples aren't that literal. This seems even more difficult to picture.
Doesn't Expy sort of explain that the characters in that pic are expies of the Simpson/Family Guy cast (It uses a table format)?
I kind of agree on you about the difficult to picture thing. Since there's a possibility tat none of the examples would have both of the Decomosite Characters resembling their base.

It does, but there the text complements the image. Your example however, would have the image be complementary to text.

Well, I could probably edit my suggested image with a list of traits and leave a note in the caption with their names.
We could also have a crowner if more images are suggested.

I don't think it illustrates how the first character was split into the other two. Rarity doesn't have anything at all suggesting some kind of origin in G3.5 RD, and the other just looks like a hipper version of the same character again.
Check out my fanfiction!well again I'm open to suggestions for the image.
I think a collage of the Young Justice characters "Red Arrow◊" and "Arsenal◊" would be good.
In the original comics, "Red Arrow"◊ and "Arsenal◊", are the same person.
Putting them together, with a caption that reads:
- "Pictured: Red Arrow and Arsenal. In the comics (top) the same person, in animation (bottom) two different people."

Unfortunately, that would be Just A Face And A Caption, since you can't just tell they're separate characters in the adaption and not in the original just by looking at the pictures.
Even as simple as having them in costume but unmasked, how do you know those are in different works and not in different places in time of the same work? I doubt the different art style would help, since it could be an Art Shift.

According to the actual JAFAAC page, that's not quite example of JAFAAC.
I agree that it's not quite the best way to illustrate the trope, but it would illustrate it.
I think this would help if the image showed both G3.5!Dash (Rainbows, dahling, rainbows)Β and Rarity both doing something fashion-related. Obviously, G3.5!Rainbow Dash has same name/color scheme as G4!Rainbow Dash, but not much dash.

Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.Good idea. I'll see if I can find the pictures soon.
Okay i went and found some images. If I've doubled posed at this time I apologize,
- G3.5 Rainbow Dash◊ (This images is from a youtube video so I;m not sure how safe from IP laws this is.)
- G4 Rainbow Dash◊
- G4◊ Rarity◊ (Take your pick)

You Tube is fine. Surround the link to the image in [[double square brackets]] since you can't hotlink.

Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.Building off of 10, how about a mathematical version of Comic Book Arsenal, Animated Red Arrow and Arsenal?
So basically "Picture of Comic Arsenal = Picture of Animated Red Arrow + Picture of Animated Arsenal"?
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. That could work,
Could some please compile the MLP example images in one picture (Similar to the one I linked in the OP with G3.5!Rainbow Dash at the top and G4!Rainbow Dash and Rarity at the bottom. (The Speedy/Arsenal/Red Arrow one should follow the same pattern [Comic!Speedy at top and Young Justice!Red Arrow and Arsenal at the bottom])

So it would be mathematical division?
Or something like a diagram of cell division?
A mix of both i think, A Decomposite Character is an adaptation trope where One person's traits are split among Two or more people (Usually himself and a Canon Foreigner, but it's not uncommon to give some traits to an already established character in the franchise. The latter would be a Composite Character as a result)
My MLP suggestion is an example of the latter route. G4 Rainbow Dash looks like G3 Rainbow Dash but has the personality (and was orginally based on) the G1 pony Firefly. G4 Rarity how has G3 Rainbow Dash's Fashionista obsession and accents (thought downplayed to an extent) but resembles a G1 pony named Glory and was based on another G1 Pony name Sparkler (not to mention the fact that she shares a name with a One shot G3 pony). That means that both G4 ponies are Composite Characters, but some of their traits share a common source. (G3/3.5 Rainbow Dash)

Would it work better to have arrows pointing from the original to the two resulting characters? That at least establishes some kind of relationship.
Check out my fanfiction!that would be a Good Idea.

Remember, the image has to be downsized to 350 pixels wide before being uploaded to TV Tropes. That is a lot of empty space taking that up. You may want to move the images closer together to preserve their size.

Alright, I think that Decomposite Character needs an example image like its sister trope
This is my suggestion◊, though it might need a caption to explain it. Please note that G4 Rarity(bottom-right) had G3.5 Rainbow Dash's(top) fashion obsession and to some extent British Accent, while G4's Rainbow Dash(bottom-left) has well... her name and color scheme.
