On the topic of GMless RPs, such as those inherited from Forum Games

It has come to my attention that a good amount of the reports on uncivil behavior and need for arbitration on the RP section of the forum seems to come from games such as We Are Our Avatars. They see a lot of traffic, they are easy to drop into and there seems to be nobody in particular who is truly in charge.

As a result when things are not working out there seems like there is little to do but to have fights and then let feelings simmer under the surface which is definitely not a healthy way to engage in something that is meant as fun.

Thus, I believe, it is necessary for there to be an official person in charge of these R Ps. On most R Ps, this person is the GM who has the last say on what goes and what doesn't and has the power to bar entry to someone if they are not contributing to making the experience a fun one.

Still, as I understand, games like We Are Our Avatars don't have a set GM as people rotate the responsibility to conduct plots. However, the responsibility and authority to manage the RP and solve dispute among those playing is completely absent, causing the aforementioned issues.

So, I'm now requesting out of the players of these games to pick among yourselves someone to be the supervisor of your game. The position may be inherited and passed over to someone else if the supervisor is resigning, but at the end of the day there must be someone that has final word on what goes on in there.

Based sorely on outside appearances, posts numbers and the name of the RP I have made a list of R Ps which I believe do not currently have such an authority and thus I'm requesting its players to give me a name as soon as possible. If there is such a supervisor or GM, please do speak up here and I'll remove the game from the list.

If there is problems picking one and no consensus can be reached, you may submit it to vote, with myself volunteering to count them if they come in P Ms to maintain the anonymity of those voting.

Without further ado, here is the list:

I know for sure that Ride the Wind is being GM'd by Psyga. I'm not sure, but, um, I think Flanker is still G Ming Edge of the Multiverse. I can't speak for the current state of any of the others.

The last one on your list is actually closed...

Also nominating Rai for WAOA.... Dood already manages the rules and all that.

Woops... Did not pay much attention to the full list, and just skimed it for ones I am in.... Ummm... here... let me just say the following about WAOA's spinnoffs.

• We Are Our Avatars : Super Evil Edition : It died, it was a concept we experimented with, but player intrest was not there.
• ITT : We Are Our Avatars High School AU, V2 : Actualy has a GM already in the form of myself.
• We Are Our Adventuring Avatars : Closed. Final post here I can get the discussion about closing it on demand, no lock was requested in case the concept ever deserves revisiting.
• Regular WAOA : Nominating Rai for GM personaly, since he already handles the rules.

Doctor Thunder's doing At Intervals as the main GM. Kiri Ame and Malignancy help out if DT is usually not available.

Understood, will be locking those closed or which have died then.

I forgot add that Flanker's the main GM in charge of Edge of the Multiverse.

I would trust few people other than Rai to be in charge of WAOA.

Rai does seem to be the go-to guy for advice and OK-ing of characters/plots in WAOA, so he's got my vote too.
