Doug has said at cons that yes he is aware that the clipless ones have been shorter, because he doesn't have to be locked by the timing of footage of the movies, and he can play around with the rapid editing in his type of humor.
Would you believe this movie was my intro into the Alien and Predator franchises?
I feel the same way as Doug. And whatever else, how many horror movies not only have the black character survive but also have them as the main character?

I was interested in how he praised for the last third of the film for its visual storytelling, and berated the exposition as just telling us things the audience can deduce anyway. It reminded me of how I felt about the Xerxes flashback in Fullmetal Alchemist. It was fairly well made, but didn't tell much that couldn't be deducted already, and took away a lot of the mystery surrounding Father. Arakawa should just have given a few more clues.
Alien vs Predator came when producers were trying to extract more mileage out of tired franchises by cross-pollination (awful mixed metaphor, I know). They could have done better by embracing their pulpy nature and cut out the long setup before we see the monsters. I wonder... with superhero films now in, would that be the next obvious crossover?
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.Coming soon: Wonder Woman review.
Just a person. He/him.Do we know what he thinks about it, without going into spoilers?
Oh God! Natural light! From what I remember, he and Rob really liked it. (Rightfully so, the best DCEU movie so far, a really solid superhero flick.) Here's the Sibling Rivalry.

Just a person. He/him.Dude how in the hell did you just post the exact same link I was going to post??
Well I guess it's just gonna be an inevitability now that Doug's gonna review the DCEU movies now. Kind of annoying to be honest.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? Why annoying?
Just a person. He/him.Because it just feels like capitalizing on them as soon as they're out. And the quality usually isn't as good as his non-clipless reviews.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Clipless reviews are not bad on the fact that they are clipless. The Suicide Squad review was great.
It's just kind of annoying at this point, I guess.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I'm a dummy, disregard.

Speaking of things that are going to get the NC treatment, here's a movie that's NOT going to get one: Transformers: The Last Knight. In his latest video, the Critic—though honestly, that's pretty much Doug himself talking in this episode—explains why he won't be reviewing the fifth movie in the Transformers franchise and instead tries to predict what's going to happen in it.

Just a person. He/him.Can't blame him to be honest.

The Critic re-enacts a DCEU film again after last month, but this is the one the internet seems to like. I dunno, I haven't seen the film and don't plan to until it hits HBO, and this seems to supercede the promised review of Norm of the North.
The Norm of the North has been intended to go in July from the get-go. Apparently, it's going to be the 10th anniversary episode, as Doug wanted to do a big fan request for the occasion.
Speaking of anniversaries, here you can vote for top five NC episodes that Walter will spotlight on Top 5 in two weeks.

Just a person. He/him.Off-topic: What happened to the Bebe's Kids movie review? It's no longer listed on Channel Awesome's You Tube channel. Was there a rights issue or something?
So how accurate were dougs predictions about the last knight.
Very on point, just look at it's Rotten Tomatoes reviews.
And for fuck's sake, Doug, Wonder Woman literally just came out. Give me some time to actually see the movie before you put out a video that would basically spoil the whole thing for me if I watched it. Kinda alienating when he reviews movies that aren't out on home video yet.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. Then go see the movie, THEN watch the review.
"Why would it mix with its DNA, creating a new creature?"
Well, that's how xenomorphs work since (at least) Alien³.
