This isn't a trope about just lying, though; it's about blatant lies. I don't think my reasoning above is over-analyzing those suggestions, as they're not obvious not-truths—just not-truths given the context supplied from the rest of the strips.
That said, I think 23.3 is cute and is an obvious not-truth on its own.
