And then TJ would come running out and grin, "Did I ever tell any of you how we got baked into a pizza?"

Everyone, the Monster and Levira included, would shout "YES!"

Actually, a slight amendment to that.

Justin rolls his eyes and remarks that he was there too, while the Super Mega Rangers just go WTF again, causing TJ to start telling them. Cut to shortly afterward, end episode on the Rangers on whatever the G-rated version of I Need a Freaking Drink would be.

The Legend War aired in France

Disappointment would be an understatement. The whole thing is only two minutes long, the only enemies are foot soldiers (no final boss, no past monsters, not even the advanced foot soldiers), the only past Rangers to actually speak are Tommy, Wes, and Cassie (the others just stand there and look pretty), there's very little original footage and most of it is the Megaforce Rangers, Robo Knight appears out of nowhere despite having died a few episodes prior, and it ends with the Megaforce Rangers using their combined blaster to kill a bunch of mooks and win. Then the past Rangers just teleport into space for some reason. It didn't make sense.

Nickelodeon hates Power Rangers even more than Disney did.

Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the Great

I don't know why. It's almost certainly the best live-action program that they broadcast.

<has flashbacks to Digimon Fusion only being on Nick for a few episodes before disappearing to Nicktoons, which my satellite package doesn't have>

At least the CW replayed it. I don't think it had changes from the Nick version either...

I do wish the CW still played Lost Galaxy. :/

Fuck you Nickelodeon, you killed Power Rangers! Fuck you!

Disney...actually used the licence responsibly and even produced some fantastic seasons. Granted towards the end of their run they started shitting on it even airing RPM, which was a good season in it's own right, at freakin' 5 a.m. when nobody would be up to watch it.

But yeah I could see many of the problems the more recent seasons have being pinned on Saban when in reality it's Nick. Since Power Rangers is fairly cheap to produce and has a high profit margin they're probably giving the production team peanuts to work with. Coupled with the fact that they're also only giving them half-seasons to work with and contractual obligations with Toei pretty much forces them to adapt every Sentai property (even partially) results in an absolute goddamn mess of a show. It's a shame really.

[up][up]I either don't have CW, or can't find it.

And I strongly believe it's the former, or I would've been on Lost Galaxy like Pink Rangers on Tommy.

[up][up] Calm thyself.

I don't mind the Disney seasons, except a bit of how they treated MMPR. However, it has two good points(purely imo). I think their new renditions of theme adding Bulk and Skull's laughter was awesome. The other, is that while the Boss Subtitles for the zords were meh, it was awesome for Titanus, with lightning in the background. Also, the first appearance of it and how they played the theme was just. So. Kick. Ass. Like, just as good as the originals. If there's one thing they got right, it's Titanus. However, the Ultrazord firing lasers with a crappy put on background does ruin it a bit.

[up] Now we know why Dino Thunder never had a Pink Ranger. tongue

To be fair, A LOT of Megaforce's (and by extension Samurai's) problems were thanks to executive producer Jonathan Tzachor. His idea for PR is simply "directly adapt the Sentai, don't even try to be creative". He did produce the show for years during the original Saban era, but those managed to avoid being direct translations thanks to Judd Lynn (at least for the second half of Turbo to Time Force). Time Force was fairly close to Timeranger, but Lynn managed to inject a lot of original ideas to make it stand out (the most notable being Ransik). When Lynn left after TF, Tzachor was left to his devices for Wild Force, which was basically "Gaoranger with American actors". By that point, the show went to Disney

Cut to now when Saban got the rights back, and Tzachor was in charge again. Samurai was taking Shinkenger's scripts, poorly translating them, and then using that for the show. Few original ideas were actually used. Not to mention cutting out all the character development or adapting the scripts to avoid the whole "Japanese history" thing that really doesn't make sense with white actors.

One of the biggest issues is that Tzachor is (currently) known to fire writers that actually attempt to be creative, and hire "yes-men" that will do exactly as he says.

Tzachor has finally been kicked after Super Megaforce. They probably saw all the money wasted on cameos that were NOTHING, and how the show itself was garbage that preferred using fight scenes over character development. With Dino Charge, Judd Lynn is back.

Though, Nickeldoen does get blame too. They were the ones that forced the "22 episode seasons" (including holiday specials), they're the ones that force LONG summer hiatuses to make room for more Spongebob repeats. Seriously, the company needs to realize it can't survive on Spongebob alone.

I also like that a fan just happened to call Dino Charge as a name before the company went with it.

Probably not. It was a quick gag in Gokaiger that never actually got used in a fight scene.

Plus it's kind of hard to fit it in when you can still see Yui Koike / Ahim's face there.

The episode aired outside of the US (it airs next week due to the "Worldwide Day of Play") They actually shot original footage of a Dino Thunder morph. So no, no random Dino Thunder Pink

But yeah, a lot of the great Gokaiger gags were removed. One of my favorites was when Gai finally joined with the main five in a fight. They wanted to change into Shinkenger, but Gai needed ShinkenGold's key. He told them it's "the gold one with Kanji on the face". Marvelous hands him a Key, and it ends up being KingRanger from Ohranger.

I'm sure they could have made it work. Really, a lot of the "Let's turn into X" jokes should have been done since there's been so many Power Rangers. But that would require creative writing, and they hate creativity.

Not to mention cutting the All Silver morph. Come on!

I heard Haim Saban was trying to adapt Super Sentai for quite a few years before he finally succeeded. Good thing Zyuranger was the latest option by that point. That introduced the Sixth Ranger concept and I heard that the Green Ranger solidified the popularity of Power Rangers.
