Yeah, the caption bears all the weight here.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanMy only complaint is that it looks vaguely like two different situations from the same game.
They don't look like the same game to me...
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYou can tell it's not the same game by the GUI/status bar at the bottom. It's very different.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!I can barely wtf is going on in the second. And the first looks like a boss Battle (Kirby Vs Giant Tree) so not sure which is easier.

Well, there's less stuff in the first image. Not having played the game(s), I have no idea how that translates to difficulty, though.
The enemy in the first picture drops one fruit from above; the enemy in the second picture throws three lit exploding bombs at you.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!"Lit exploding bombs?" They don't look lit to me - they don't even have fuses. For all I know they could be plain old black metal balls. And since it's a static image, I can't tell how fast or at what trajectory they're moving, so I can't tell how difficult it is.
The easiest way to show video game difficulty in a static image is to show a ton of hazards on screen at once (See the image for Nintendo Hard).
Does anyone else have anything to say about the current image?
It tells me nothing, and I expect it's impossible to depict without a comparative.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableThat's not how it works. It needs to be vote to be pulled. Please don't tag pages saying to keep the image off unless it's specifically voted for.
That said, I don't care a lick for it.

I don't really care for it either. That's enough of a consensus to keep it pulled.
I have read our IP policies, and there is no hard rule stating that there must be a vote to pull an image. Nobody defended the image at all, so I figured it wouldn't be necessary. I would not have pulled if it there were objections.
Willbyr says there is enough consensus to remove the image, so I'm repulling it.
EDIT: Pardon the gun-jumping on my initial pull. I should've waited for more posts. Oh well.

We used to have an informal voting system with actual motions to pull a pic, vote seconds, and everything, but Eddie felt we were being too hasty (pics were getting pulled within an hour or two of making a thread). Now the rule of thumb to pull a pic is a clear majority of s for a pic over a 24-48 hour stretch, and if there's at least one suggestion in the thread that looks like it's heading toward becoming a replacement, then pulling the old pic before swapping in the new one isn't needed at all.
Alright, we got anything for this? Showing difficulty in a video game is pretty tough to do, since how difficult combat/a level is usually is visible.
I don't think it really needs an image.
"Steel wins battles. Gold wins wars."I think it is possible to show this trope. The difficultly is the HUD and the actions the characters are doing and how many creatures are on the screen at the time of the screen capture.
In the Kingdom Hearts series, the first game was easier than its sequel (Chain of Memories) just from the battle system change. Maybe an image showing the on-screen menus might help? Image from the first game◊ and an image from the second◊. It was harder because the player didn't have easy access to command like in the first game's menu.
That second image isn't showing up for me.
Drag the link into a new tab. If it still doesn't show up, clearing your cache should fix it.

I did both of those things and it's still not showing up. All I see is a white box that says fourhman.com.

I don't think comparing these images work. To someone who hasn't played Kingdom Hearts, I don't understand how the HUD of the second game makes it more difficult. It looks less intuitive, but that doesn't necessarily mean difficulty. I looks like the comparison is trying to say that Ursula is a more fight difficult than Cerubus, which is not what I think you are going for. The suggestion is JAFAC. This page doesn't need an image.

Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.
This page image contributes precisely jack squat in terms of demonstrating the trope. All I see is Luigi swimming with a few enemies here and there. It doesn't show how it's harder than the first game, or even that's it's difficult. It fails to represent the trope in every conceivable way.
This trope, as far as I can tell, is unpictureable. Motion to pull and leave imageless unless someone has a good idea for a replacement.
