Suggestion: OOC Is Serious Business

My only real worry about this is it might spoil an important plot development. Thoughts?

The image's confusing to me, but I don't know why.

Anyway, if we were to use the image, perhaps we can edit the partial top parts out of it.

Not really. Seems to me all you'd need to do is just use that last panel. *poof* Spoilers gone, relevant dialogue still present.

Ok, I'll work up a version with just the second panel, for comparison.

Just tossing this out there, but to demonstrate this trope, there's either going to need to be a bit of text or multiple images showing how a character normally is, and the reaction and the source that caused the change.

Doesn't work for above reasons.

How 'bout a compare and contrast picture? Ya know, like Spidey joken' around and spidey kicken' ass, side by side. Then slap a caption beneath it and done. Eh?

It'd still be Just A Face And A Caption with nothing indicating the seriousness of the matter. Spider Man regularily switches back and forth between kicking butt and joking. He usually jokes while kicking butt.

That's a first draft. I can make it better, but that's just an example of what we could do.
