As the title implies, this thread is for discussion, recommendation, and other -ions for fanfiction about the various Square Enix properties including (but not limited to) Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and Parasite Eve/The3rd Birthday.

I did a bit of looking for FFV fics, but I barely found anything. Too bad, because I'd think it'd be a fun game to write for.

Anyone else annoyed by how Fanfiction.net lumps the first six Final Fantasy games into one section? I could see doing that for I-III, but IV, V, and VI really deserve their own sections.

I think it's because the person who first made the category lumped them all together when making the request.

And yeah, I'm annoyed by it too.

Me three.

Once upon a time - by which I mean a couple years ago - I started a Kingdom Hearts Days fic wherein Larxene had to mentor Roxas instead.

Then, after the second chapter, I got into a bunch of mecha anime and totally forgot it existed.

Then my girlfriend loaned me her copy of Days last night, and I remembered the fic.

Point is, Brutality's gonna update soon, if anyone's interested.

Yep, I updated it.

So I ran across a FF 7 Peggy Sue fanfic, The Fifth Act.

Holy crap, loving every single chapter! This fanfic, along with Final Fantasy VII: The Sevening (it's a pretty funny webcomic, I recommend it), reminded me why I loved the original game at the first place.

I'd recommend a few FF8 fics out there as soon as I'm not in lazy mode.

I'm wondering if there's anything worthwhile for FF Tactics. Any of them.

Finished The Fifth Act ( which was absolutely AMAZING), and now onto Terrorism and Anarchy, where Cloud gets sent back to past...and quits Shinra and becomes a terrorist. A terrorist with no kill policy and even friendly terms with Rufus, Zack, and Sephiroth.

Those are both really good. I read them a couple of months ago.

Final Fantasy Tactics story idea: everything proceeds according to canon, except for one thing that happened in the first chapter (unrevealed). Story takes place as usual, except Ramza's a lot more grounded but there is an undercurrent of desperation in nearly everything he does. This all comes to a head at Goland, because right after Olan leaves, Ramza heads to a nearby house, where a woman and her young child is waiting for him.

That's right - Ramza's wife and the mother of his child is none other than Milleuda Folles. Now things start getting interesting at Orbonne.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think that Nobuo Uematsu is a bit overrated.

He's almost a master of all stats but some of his songs, at least to me, lack that "oomph".

Maybe it's because he jumps to different styles of music from song to song.

I will say something even more controversial: Michiko Naruke is a better composer.

She's the composer for the Wild Arms series.

Regarding FF Tactics, I always envision Ramza and Alma to be together at the end of the game, the implications of Brother–Sister Incest be damned. I mean, c'mon, they're the only Beoulves who are alive at the end of the game, and they must do something to preserve the bloodline and save it from obscurity.

...Not sure why we have a thread talking about fanfiction about a company, but I want to contribute.

Would slave crowns have different side effects depending on species? Like, for example, a Tarutaru can't use magic anymore after it's removed instead getting amnesia like Terra did.
