This monster is much bigger than a man, yet looking up into the night sky makes it feel so small... and lonely. Everyone is terrified of the monster, and everyone thinks it's a malicious beast who hunts in the night. But the monster is actually very sweet, and just wants a friend.

Sam & Max - The Office

In a New Yorkish lounge restaurant where the lighting is just dim enough for it to look somewhat presentable to an untrained eye, it's not a particularly busy evening. There's quite a lot of cigarette smoke in the air, even the sax player takes breaks to blow a ring or two, good thing that no one cares if he uses playback. A company of suspicious men are playing cards at the corner table, all oblivious to the fact that every single one of them is obviously holding a gun behind their hand. One of the patrons enthusiastically takes the lid off a large dish he's been served, revealing a bound and gagged man with a black eye. The waiter who brought the dish swiftly switches it for another, ignoring the shocked patron, and carts the former one off to the back door.

Sebadoh - Violet Execution

Two high school kids perform a song they had written about a girl in their school named Heather. The girl is fairly popular and decently nice, but the only problem is that neither of them has ever so much as spoken to her before. So they decide to turn her into a Memetic Badass of sorts in their song, coming up with all sorts of things that she must be doing with wording vague enough that none of it be technically disproven. It's really awkward when they see her in school the next day, and they hope she never ends up hearing this song.

The hero is walking through an old Gothic castle. Many years ago, the castle belonged to an aristocratic family, who were all good people. But one day, they all mysteriously died, and nobody else came to live in the castle, believing it was cursed, which caused it to fall into ruin. So now, the hero wanders through the dark, cold halls, looking at the now dusty and cobweb-covered artwork, furniture, and architecture of the castle, and tries to imagine how beautiful it must have been when the aristocrats were still alive. This only makes him more determined to achieve his goal of finding out how the aristocrats died, in hopes of finding a way to restore the castle to its former beauty.

Mana Khemia: By the Illusion

The opening of a literal gate to Hell has been averted thanks to a brave twelve year old kid and his helpful ghost friend. Whatever damage has been done to the lumberyard during the final battle with a powerful demon is written off as the result of a series of lightning strikes by the secret services, who are now finishing the emergency coverup. As for the kindly ghost, he is no longer stuck in the land of the living and waves one final goodbye before vanishing forever. The kid and his friends go to the town graveyard and find the ghost's gravestone, noticeably unattended. They clean it up a bit and leave some flowers and heartwarming memorabilia, saying that wherever he is now, he'll always be remembered dearly. As they walk away, the camera slowly pans into the rising sun.

A grainy, disjointed VHS tape is playing in an abandoned hospital, as the protagonists look on in confusion and horror.

A Byzantine Catholic church in a contemporary setting. The church is in a very rich area, so they have the wealth to create and elaborate cathedral and hire a large professional choir. The masses are attended by extravagantly wealthy people who rarely share their wealth with others, but they come to the church in hopes that it will absolve some of their guilt for their sinful greed.

A kindly old Wizard Classic is out in the woods, using his magic powers to bring life to the forest, healing all sorts of plants and animals that have been injured. The forest animals all flock to him, and even if they do not need healing, he pets and feeds them anyway, because he loves them all. They all live happily together in the dark, but serene forest.

Pachelbel - Toccata in E Minor

An Evil Overlord has taken on an apprentice, and is giving him a crash course in all the skills necessary to be a good Overlord. One of these skills, of course, is ominously playing the organ while waiting for the hero to arrive for a final battle. Thus, for an exercise, he is playing the part of the hero, navigating all the traps and monsters that his apprentice has set up (testing his skills at trap management and monster loyalty in the process) while said apprentice must play a full musical piece on the organ against the clock.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 OST - Plucking Tulips

The main character is running very late to his job. He darts as quickly as he can through streets, hopping onto buses and barely catching trains. Meanwhile, it's a very nice day out and his town is very pleasant and friendly, so everyone's outside to wave and greet him as he speeds by them.

Bliss- A Colour Symphony (Movement IV)

A procession of soldiers in outfits of many different colors and patterns march into a town. The people of the town feel nervous about this, because a man with dictatorial ambitions was recently brought into power in their country. Protests and riots break out, but the soldiers simply route around them and pay the citizens no mind. Eventually the citizens decide to chase the soldiers directly. A very cartoonish chase ensues wherein the soldiers take off at lightning speed (while still keeping their stoic composure), while the angry mob becomes more and more ferocious and tries using bigger and more elaborate weapons to swipe at the guards. The guards then turn on the mob, leading to a battle that causes untold bloodshed on both sides. At the end of the skirmish, the townsfolk emerge victorious.

The main theme of an action-comedy movie starring a bumbling secret agent. He's a total Casanova Wannabe, he forgets how to use the weapons and gadgets, and he's terrible at sneaking around. Yet, in the end, he always finds a way to defeat the supervillain, so the agency that he works for keeps him on the job.

Tomodachi Life - Amusement Park

It's a nice spring day and the entire town is in the park to watch a rowboat race in the lake. It's a low-stress competition, as everyone's just racing for fun. One boat pulls ahead, but then another one catches up and gets in the lead, but then the first boat picks up speed! People cheer from the sidelines. Since the race is just for fun, no one really cares who wins and cheers for everyone equally.

Popov-Symphony No.1

The hero has infiltrated the villain's secret base and begun sneaking around, when suddenly, one of the mooks notices him and alerts the others. This begins an epic chase sequence. The hero has no weapons, so all he can do is run and hide. He rapidly dodges and hides from the mooks' attacks, constantly slipping in and out of their radar. Eventually, he slips out of their sight for good, and reaches the lower levels of the base, where he discovers the villain's secrets. He reads all sorts of documents containing information on the villain's backstory, plans, etc. and is horrified... when suddenly, he realizes that the villain is standing right behind him. The chase begins again as the hero escapes from the base.

A Magnificent Bastard rogue takes Halloween in a local town as an opportunity to get away with some amusing, yet still technically illegal pranks. Blending in with the crowds, he sows chaos in his path, generally taking the night off as a chance to have some fun at the expense of the well-off.

Kingdom Hearts: The Other Promise

The protagonist has braved incredibly dangerous underground ruins to find an artifact that can defeat the Evil Overlord, reaching the chamber where the object is hidden. When he reaches it, he is utterly unprepared for what he finds: His friend, who he thought to be dead, stands before him, seemingly alive and well. The two fight, asking very personal questions leading back to why each wants to use the artifact.

Final Fantasy OST — Ruined Castle

A magical door to paradise that the protagonists have been spending years (or even decades, centuries...) trying to open finally opens and a bright light bursts out of it. At first, they're afraid to enter. What if it's not all it was built up to be? What if it's not a door to paradise but just a trick? But then someone speaks up and reminds them how long they waited and how the day they had been waiting and longing for was finally here. So they all walk in together and are absorbed into the light.

The theme of a monster king. This is the music that plays whenever he makes his grand entrance into the throne room. Despite his very intimidating presence, he's actually The Good King. He's very kind to his monstrous subjects, despite the fact that even some of them find him scary. Although he doesn't mean to scare them, it's somewhat understandable, due to him being a Boisterous Bruiser.

Spongebob Squarepants Music - The Pirate's Waltz

A very drunk pirate attempts to dance with the lady of his dreams and ends up doing a number of extremely clumsy and embarrassing things, which cause the ballroom to look on in morbid fascination.

Sean Han-Tani-Chen-Hogan - The Great Cliff, The Edge of Reason

The hero finds themselves alone in a strange fantasy forest. They're scared at first. The surroundings are unfamiliar and it's getting dark. Suddenly, some blinking lights appear, and the hero gets even more nervous, knowing they're not alone. Then the sources of the lights step forward. They're small forest creatures that want to help the hero. They arrange their lights in a path, appearing to be leading the hero somewhere. The hero doesn't quite trust these creatures, but has no other option so they cautiously begin to follow the blinking lights

Scriabin- Poeme de l'Extase

a very suspenseful moment when the protagonist, after snooping around in their eccentric ghost-hunting idol/housemate's room, comes very close to finding the truth about what he does to the ghosts he captured (which involves illegally selling charms that contain innocent ghosts that he captured and encased). when they find out, however, they end up going mad from the revelation and lose all their respect in him after realizing he was behind their grandpa's death.
