Optimal show setup for me: 2-3 more seasons, all awesomely episodic and random aside from the last few episodes of the final season, which are a proper finale. Slightly Bloodier and Gorier; though not to excess, just allow Jack to cut non-robots. Same animation style with slightly higher quality animation.
Do you think Aku might become that Nameless Evil from "Birth of Evil"? Basically the same cosmic destroyer only with a mind.

Doesn't the samurai armor in the new teaser look a LOT like the one here? As a lot of the comments there have noticed already.
Is anyone else doing a marathon of the previous seasons of the show to get ready for the new one?
Aku's just a little shard that came from that Original Evil, given form by the potion that Jack's father attempted to use to destroy it. So technically he is, but he also isn't.
And no, I'm not, because I don't think Samurai Jack is on Netflix XD
There's other ways to do it like Itunes.
Bump.
Do you think we might see a Complete Monster in Samurai Jack? This type of villain would make Jack absolutely LIVID.
Depends on what things the show is allowed to get away with. For all its intensity (and being on Netflix) many will still expect it to be relatively kid-safe.
What, Aku, ''DA SHAAAPESHIFTING MASTAH OF DAAAAHKNESS" doesn't count?
Except its airing on [adult swim], not netflix, so they can get away with as much violence as the show creators want. Not that I think it'll be a big gore-fest, but this is the same network that aired Hellsing Ultimate, violence shouldn't be a problem.
You're just in time. Bayble Cuber's going to watch an inkle dribble adventure from days of old on my holo-pyramid viewer.edited 2nd Apr '16 8:44:54 AM by superboy313
It's already May now. Has a premiere date been announced yet?
Well it's already June, and there's STILL no release date.
Any ideas for the new season?
We still have 6 whole months.
Check out this image◊ of a blood soaked Jack from the Annecy International Animated Film Festival!
Genndy Tartakovsky is doing a work in progress session at the event.
More info. Of note:
- Season 5 will consist of 10 episodes, same format as the old show. This is keeping with the tradition of Adult Swim greenlighting original series for only 8 or 10 episodes or around thereabouts, to keep budgets down.
- It takes place 50 years after Season 4.
- Still no indication of when it will air.
- Jack "won't act", whatever that means, which will cause Aku to become bored and start destroying cities and worlds for fun.
- Jack will have new weapons and now, a motorcycle! He will not have his katana. Don't worry, that will be a story point!

Also, they've said it's essentially a five hour grand finale movie.
I dont know Superboy, I dont like the shoehorning of Tropes, especially Complete Monster which many seem to think makes a show more "Mature and epic".
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.I would assume Jack time traveled again if that's the case....
The setting should be more sci-fi focused then if that is true I think?
Formerly known as Bleddyn And I am feeling like a ghost Resident Perky GothThat confuses me too. Why would 50 years take such a toll on Jack if he time travels to different worlds all the time?? Or maybe I'm remembering it wrong.
Maybe Jack is a Badass Grandpa now.
No, he doesn't time-travel to different worlds all the time, he's just wandering the same world (which, for Aku claiming to dominate all of it, seems fairly free of him).
Actually Aku's future gave me the impression that it was an odd hodgepodge of worlds, as if it had been built from bits and pieces of different eras. Maybe it's a side effect of using evil magic? But if so it was never explicitly explained.
Anyway, no, Jack doesn't time travel, in fact trying to find a way to go back to the past was a major plot point. And TBH none of the ideas listed above attract my interest. I'm not saying it'll suck- it might still be a badass show- but now I'm not as excited as before.

My favorites were probably the Egypt episode(forget the name), Jack and the Hunters, Jack Remembers the Past, the two part origin, and Samurai vs Ninja.
