Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan (Manga Discussion)

Well, it has been something of a running issue for him lately.

Also, Isayama has to stop using this "tilted panels" thingy. I feel like I'm reading Attack on the Psychlos. It may be to give a "photo album" feel, but it looks like crap nonetheless.

On the other hand, there are some gorgeous double pages here. A good transition chapter overall.

A lot of lovely double-pages this chapter. Also a lot of OMINOUS!!!!!!

I want the next one. :( I wonder if the bad guys are about to spring their trap or if what's in the basement is the trap. As in, they're counting on the good guys completely losing their motivation after The Reveal.

Pretty sure BR and the Beast Titan have a scheme of their own, if only because the latter is conspicuously absent along with all the Titans in the area.

I do wonder if they already found the basement or if they're waiting for Eren to lead them to it.

Well, Bert kind of kicked a boulder on top of the house way back when, so there's not exactly anything to set it apart from the other piles of rubble, and they haven't actually been there terribly long; only so much searching that 2-4 people can do in a given amount of time. Plus, they don't have the key to the basement, so unless MT is something like Grisha's brother and knows where it is and what's in it, it doesn't really matter.

So even if there's a boulder over Eren's house, couldn't Reiner turn into the Armored Titan to move it away and even break into the basement without the key (assuming they find his house and have a reason to do so)?

They probably don't know where Eren's house is. Shiganshina is a pretty big place, after all - which is why I was speculating that they're biding their time until Eren finds it for them.

I was thinking the same thing. They didn't even know Eren until after the whole thing went down, so they have little clue where his house even is.

Would be amusing if among the rubble they found some sign that says this house is owned by the Jaegers or something. Although that would be a bit of a stretch given the extent of the damage.

Is it just me or does the architecture look completely different? It looks like they're smashing up a Japanese slum instead of a pseudo-renaissance town. o.O

Thats because the films are set in a modernesque Japan.

According to a description of someone I know who watched it, they have freakin' choppers and modern weapons too.

...yet they go with 3DG because reasons.

Also Mikasa is a wimp and Shikishima Not-Levy keeps stealing the thunder like a badly done OC.

Granted, I liked The Last Airbender in movie version. Might have something to do with a fact that I haven't seen the real deal yet. >.>

But yeah, the general opinion seemed to be that SNK Movie is just a blatantly bad cashgrab.

I've heard that the general opinion is that the movie's actually really good, if flawed.

That said, everyone hates what they did with Mikasa, so... :/
