Both are good, but Minnie probably plays the trope a little straighter.
I'm not a huge of either, really. I'd like to see a woman that's not a mouse (preferably human), as that's the straightest version of the trope. I have two screencaps so far: [1]◊ from Tom And Jerry and [2]◊ from Krazy Kat. Content-wise I like the Krazy Kat one best, because the "Police! Help!" thing just gets me, but that one needs to be cleaned up. I'll look through all other potentially Eek, a Mouse!!-y Tom And Jerry episodes, so I might have some other caps soon.

please don't capitalize my handle. I just don't like it.The scared mouse is funnier. Otherwise they're about equally good.
Check out my fanfiction!I sent a PM to tymime explaining that he/she is supposed to used the IP forum to suggest image changes, and sent him/her a link to this thread.
Thanks. Actually, now that it's been mentioned, having a mouse react like that to a mouse is too funny to not use.
At first I was gonna say revert it for not going through the proper channel, but yeah, a mouse scared of a mouse is hilarious. Keep change.
Moon◊Both are hilarious. Noooooooooooooooooot sure.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerEh, I've seen the elephant/mouse thing before. Can't say as I've seen mouse/mouse before.
Moon◊Agreed. I love the Fridge Brilliance in it—Minnie Mouse is terrified of mice. It's much funnier.
Post 3's suggestions, along with the elephant, would be good Image Links fodder IMO.
Mouse scared by a mouse has my vote.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe Minnie Mouse one is hilarious. Please keep it.
For the record, I think that the "elephant scared of mice" trope should be split off, but that's a topic for Trope Repair Shop.

I think we've got enough of a consensus to run with the Minnie pic. The tag's added to the page and the Image Links page is up; locking up.
There was a rogue image change on Eek, a Mouse!! back in March that I just now noticed. I can't find any record of an image picking thread to back up the change.
The old image was this:
It was changed to
Is there a preference on which we should use, or does someone have a suggestion that is better than either?
The trope defintion is below:
— A staple of early domestic comedies in both film and television. The mere sight of a mouse (or sometimes another animal who is the subject of a common phobia) will drive a housewife up onto a chair or a table, where she stands shrieking, stomping her feet, and clutching the hem of her skirt until the rodent is captured or driven away. This is largely a Dead Horse Trope today, rooted in a very specific and sexist image of women dating back to the early part of the 20th Century, but it is still visible in old Looney Tunes cartoons and in the odd ironic reference.
Looney Tunes cartoons will sometimes play with this trope by crossing it with the old myth (recently deemed plausible by the Myth Busters) about mice frightening elephants, resulting in elephants that shriek and leap up onto some (possibly insufficiently-strong) object upon sighting a mouse.
