I switched my bookmarks so it goes straight to my subscriptions now. It's annoying that I had to do that.

I wonder why Youtube is so insistent on us seeing new videos.

Personally I'm dumbfounded that no Inu Yasha AMV has been made to BNL's Pinch Me. (With the beta couple of course...)

Does anyone here think the top subscribed channels are deserving? Like, I think Freddie Wong, Smosh, Tobuscus, Philip De Franco, etc. are legitimately talented people, but others, like say, Fred, to be obnoxiously inane.

What I want to see is an anti-shipping AMV of Adventure Time to Santana's "Smooth". (Mostly anti Finn x LSP, but with plenty of unlove for Marcie, PB and FP of course.)

I don't know if "talented" is the word I'd use to describe Tobuscus. Maybe when he was mostly doing skits but now he's a vlogger that sometimes does not vlogger things.

I;m starting to think 301 is some sort of default views for Youtube videos. Like, the page says that's how many people have seen the video until it passes that or something.

For years it has been that way. The viewcount freezes at around there if it receives a huge amount of views at first. You just noticed that?

Also, please, no AMVs. Those are pointless.

There's like, a dozen comments every video about it. It's fairly constant.

Just curious, are videos that use the HTML5 player on You Tube really buggy for anyone else? For me, the video always ends up being really laggy no matter what and the fullscreen mode just makes the video play horribly. It got to the point where I went and changed my browser settings just so I could force all the videos to play in the Flash player (which works very well for me, better than anything but downloading the videos to watch offline).

I don't know if they're using that player but some videos to lag more then others.

Right click the video player. If the right-click dialogue box looks different than normal and mentions HTML5 in there somewhere, it's that. Those tend to be laggier than others. I'd look what that one is, but I disabled HTML5 for myself, so I couldn't tell.

I watched this video before disabling it, though, and I know this one had that player:

I love youtube, I'm a big fan of Let's players and vlogs.

A Show With Ze Frank and the Vlog Brothers are my favorites right now.

You answered your own question by mentioning Sturgeon's Law. The funny ones are few and far in-between.

For some reason, it makes page loading infuriatingly slow and tough to access. What did it do?!

You Tube changes layout. Cue waves of They Changed It, Now It Sucks! from all the internet.

I kind of like it, but I think it needs just a little more shading to not look so... web 1.0-ish. (My first impression) The only thing I don't like about it so far is that the large player isn't centered with the suggestions on the side. It's a small detail, but it's driving me crazy.

Okay, I want to hear reasons from people who don't like the new layout WHY it sucks. Give me a reason that isn't "It's not the old layout!", or (even better) "It's not the crappy layout they had back in 2005 waaaaah!" I actually really like this layout, though I wish they kept the button to see all comments or to open up a list of the uploader's other videos on the same page. Other than that, I think it looks nicer.

Don't fix it if it ain't broke. Every time I get used to the format, they go and change it.
