I'm not certain if I'd describe the tone as light. It's verging on Black Comedy. Similarly, I don't think we'll need any walks to the fridge to realize the horrifying points, with how eager it is to point them out
I'm not sure what I watched, but I liked it. Then again, I have pretty weird tastes.
Poor bread robot. We hardly knew ye.
Oh yeah, mod should change the title. Let me holler.

Full Battle ModeLooks like Sentai Filmworks already picked this one up.
It seems that I personally am a sucker for these sorts of high-WJT-level series, as I totally loved the first episode for all its "what on blue earth did I just watch"-ness.
What! I have to watch this! I LOVE optimistic post-apocalypse stories! Yes!
As for what-the-fuck-did-I-just-watch...um, sometimes I really like that if it's done right, but...just how weird is it? Is it good weird or bad weird?
...Guess I will find out soon.

Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Oh my...certainly an interesting first episode.
??
???
????
Well.
I was going to say this seems like an unconvincing picture of survival and I don't see why humans are dying out... Then the ending.
It's a unique take on post-apocalyptia. I think? It's interesting too?
I. Suppose. I'll. Keep watching.
"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."Okay, totally not what I expected when I heard "post-apocalypse with fairies". It's more of a really cheerful black comedy. Oh god the comedy. I'm not sure if my sense of humor is just shallow but I seriously couldn't stop laughing. Like when Loaf killed himself dramatically and the representative just quips, "Please, go ahead." WTH.
I love this show already.
I was essentially expecting a bleaker Mushishi Not... This.

"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntWell, that was...terrifying. I liked it!
The colorful animation is like Tsuritama only that was normal by comparison.

Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.So we have a page for it now. Any help filling it out would be appreciated
What little I watched made me think of a Darker and Edgier Japanese Adventure Time, of all things.
I was "uh, this is interesting" until the bread suicide and Over The Top bleeding then I just lost it.
And I was reminded of a Lighter and Softer Romantically Apocalyptic. Well, so far...
"If music be the food of love, PLAY ON" - William ShakespeareAnd they're both great!
"The bread's bleeding!"
"I'm a carrot juice bread..."

I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.Apparently the guy who wrote Yume miru Kusuri did this, so I expect some bleak themes behind all those bright colors (as Watashi and the faeries hint with their dialogue).
Yes, he started out as an ero-VN writer.
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.He also did Cross Channel and Family Project in case you're curious. He has a habit of making weird slice of life sequences, so him making an anime full of them doesn't surprise me.
Full Battle ModeI have no idea where this is going, but I'll stick with it for now.
This was amusing. I like the main character. I suppose straight man snarkers are a dime a dozen in Japanese comedy, but I think she's got a sufficiently cynical edge to her.
I thought the first episode was amusing, with the darker implications behind the cute and colorful world, and I have a fondness for shows that are just utterly weird, but I wasn't sure if I was going to stick with the whole series.
Episode 2 hooked me completely.
AAAAAAAVE MARIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAA~
Well it's definitely something weird... but it was funny when the silent assistant was still taking pictures of the chickens, while they were falling to their doom.

Hopefully they are done with the skinned chickens...yuck. But the real significance of the episode is that Pink-chan's hair is endowed with intelligence and super strength. Well, that point alone makes it worthwhile to continue with this series.

Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.I wouldn't be surprised if she shaved her head again after that episode.
What the hell did I just watch?
It's some kind of post-apocalyptic society thing. Humanity is declining, starvation is an ever-present threat... But the tone with which it is treated is uh... Somewhat light.
Also there are fairies.
I suspect this will be some good Fridge Horror fuel.
