The moment she realized he's not going to kill her she started bitching at Godou.
Man I hate characters like this.
but all she told him was that he is being incredibly irresponsible for the position he is in. she was polite about it as well
Yeah, that's a more fitting way to put it. Dat snake stone is serious bizness

You mean the Tohno gland Shlugo?

New ep is out.
I couldn't help but laugh loudly when I heard the episode preview.
And I'm surprised that none of the other Campione showed up to just plain Kill Steal.
"I'm saying I'll let her be #2."
Erica for the girlfriend of a year. Godou has it way to good with her.
Adult Athena looks good if I may say so. And her scythe was pretty badass.
The fight was pretty awesome, especially the way Godou used Athena's origins to cut her authority, and of course his finishing gambit was briliant.
I'm happy that he let Athena go, I like her, it would be sad if she had to return to the other world already.
Heh, it seems that next episode will be a comedic one. I wonder what they'll pull off.
All in all awesome episode.
Oh my gah! What a witty and straight-to-the-point next ep speech! Hands down, this is the best middle finger to all the harem shows out there
What profit is it to a man, when he gains his money, but loses his internet? Anonymous 16:26 I believe...I was the only one who thought of Saint Seiya when Athena was pierced?... it happened to many times
I'll chose my future... don't get in my way.Well that resolved barely anything.
Japanese and their inability to kill cute things...
"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."I was expecting that the golden swords in the Field of Blades to be just for decoration, a pleasant surprise that they where actually used.
In the second episode, I really wanted Godou to beat Erica by punching her lights out. A straight cross to the face. Not because I dislike her (I don't), not because I think she deserved it (I do), but because it would've been funnier, and her reaction to it would be interesting. But like most people, I love the scene where she told him in no uncertain terms what she felt, and why. Communication for the win.
Mariya is interesting as well. She's at first depicted as your average Shrinking Violet, but later shows she has quite a bit more character than that. I'd like to see how she turns out later on. I don't think she's holier-than-thou either, considering what she was bitching him out on was dooming the world. I think she was completely right in calling him out on his lax attitude.
Also, when Godou wanted to let her run away, it was quickly said that it's not necessarily the best choice of action. That's something that often bugs me. The hero doesn't want the girl to get hurt, and would rather risk dooming the world for her safety, which somehow excludes the implication that she won't be very safe at all if the world is doomed. Of course, he still wanted to protect her, but allowing her to do what she can is still far better than how it's usually played out.
Godou himself isn't bad either. Better looking than most harem heroes, and he's not that ass-backwards passive about everything until death (or a girl risks getting a minor cut, take your pick) is on the line and he's tripping over it. But we'll see once the comedy episodes roll out, as they tend to show what's played for tired laughs and what's not.
I like Athena. Well, at least her mature form, as I care little for lolis (well, Shizuku is at least funny about it). The battle with her was very enjoyable. She doesn't really come off as Evil like the usual opponent who's going to bring doom to the world, but more just being what she is. She's also not very arrogant at all considering her power. But mostly, she just seemed to enjoy fighting with him, despite everything he revealed about her that she didn't like. Fight in noble battle to win and regain her godly powers, or face an honourable defeat. I disagree with her, though. I actually prefer her scythe-wielding Death God incarnation, as a true nature goddess who deals with both the start and end of life, and the balance thereof. Also, snakes are cute.
Check out my fanfiction!Episode 5 is out.
So Mariya is not only annoying but clumsy as well. Great combination right there.
Godou's life would be a lot easier if he stooped being such stick in the mud.
Erica continues to be awesome.
Oh man, so we are introduced to Doni, and before anyone accuses anime of being confusing, it was the same in the novel. We'll see more of him later.
And last but not least the wolf guy shows up. His life expectancy is going down as we speak tho.
I'd expect his life expectancy to go down. Not having read the novel, I'd give him two episodes, tops. And only because the next episode's "The Kings Converse" instead of something that implies a fight.
Eh, Mariya isn't THAT bad. She's just painfully generic in comparison to Erica and the rest of the harem. I'd expect that we're moving along at about one volume every three episodes, which would finish Volume 5 at the end of the season and introduce Ena.
Episode five was kind of generic. Godou should grow a bigger pair and realise he'd be better off if he could tell Erica off at least once in a while, rather than being the generic spineless harem lead. He was better in previous episodes.
So was Mariya, which pretty much went back to mostly being a generic Shrinking Violet. Well, at least she looks more interesting than Erica, who's really hitting the Informed Attractiveness dump for me. The blonde's got long hair, though, gotta give her that. On the other hand, I get a stronger feeling of holier-than-thou from her than from the shrine maiden...
I still like the series, just not too fond of this episode.
Check out my fanfiction!I don't get what's not very unlikeable about this episode. EXCEPT for the bit where Erica's sitting on Godou's lap, cuddling him in the classroom. I think everything's peachy
What profit is it to a man, when he gains his money, but loses his internet? Anonymous 16:26 I believe...Not unlikeable. Just more generic and less interesting than previous episodes, which frankly isn't saying a whole lot.

Check out my fanfiction! She's just this girl that just horribly clumsy, mostly useless and rather slow. That in itself would be bad enough but on top of that she's really bitchy and naggs about every little bit of perceived misconduct.
That's just not a good combination.
That cliffhanger will keep me watching... Barely.
"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."Yeah, she's so useless even Erica thinks it's a good idea to add her to his harem. Then again, Erica doesn't nag and bitch about every bit of perceived character flaw...
Check out my fanfiction! There's a practical reason why Erica lets Mariya get added: she might be a spellcaster or a good enough field setter. This being a god-killing premise, that means something MORE than your average harem shows
What profit is it to a man, when he gains his money, but loses his internet? Anonymous 16:26 I believe...Mariya has the spirit sight wich IS kinda usefull, but believe me- she will cause them headache FAR more often than she'll actually be of use.
Kind of useful? Considering the condition to activate the Golden Sword, Yuri's spirit vision is indispensable for Godou. Yeah, she nags and is kind of clumsy, but no one's perfect.
She's not really holier than thou. At least, not in this adaptation. She just took advantage of Godou's kindness and unleashed a tantrum on him, that's all
