Oh, wow, quality is terrible.
Pull is supported
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerNormally, I'm okay with a somewhat artifacted picture over nothing, but in this case, I have no objections to pulling it.
I don't think it's pullable bad.
On the other hand, it doesn't seem as if finding a replacement would be all that hard. The suggestion works as well.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.I don't think the current image's quality is appallingly bad. Hm… the suggestion is higher quality, but isn't quite as good an illustration of the trope. It is good enough to replace the current image if the quality is that bad, and it's definitely better than nothing.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!Jeez, that thing is like a VHS tape. I think we need to find something with text to indicate that the group shot is part of the opening credits, like the show's title card or "starring so-and-so".
An image quality like the current one is undesirable. And I can't find any better version of current pic in GIS. Take the OP one - I don't think there's that much difference between the two anyway.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWillbyr's suggestion is better than the current because of quality, but not otherwise. I'd support a swap, pending something better.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I support swapping for Willbyr's image at the time being, but I think we can do better.
Alright, the suggestion is swapped in; now, to see if we can come up with something better.

How about the following from the Friends opening credits?
I'd say that's equal to the current — cast party, but doesn't show that it's from the opening.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I think it works better because it's an action shot instead of something that looks staged, but the quality's iffy...better than the old 90210 pic, though, by a long shot.
How about this? Other than adding cast credits, I can't of a clearer way to say "opening" in the pic.
Maybe captioned as "Totally not staged for the opening credits." with a link to those credits in the caption or in the Live Action TV section, provided it's not already there.
That prettymuch works, 'specially with the caption. I remember doing a similar thing on a proposed image for Starts with a Suicide.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I'm fine with that...
Looks good; I put the link to the credits in the caption. Locking up.
Motion to pull
Good example, bad image...lots of artifacts. GIS didn't have many good options for replacements...maybe this?◊ Otherwise, I'm not sure how we'd go about pic'ing this...the "walking" shots from the Law And Order shows are the only example I'm really familiar with, and I almost think it'd take a multi-panel shot to establish that it's not a random screengrab with those.
