Nickelodeon Fighting Game?

Plenty of us have ideas for a Nickelodeon fighting game, and since the only real Nick fighting games are the crummy Nick Super Brawl games, I proposed this thread; a thread where we can discuss ideas for a quality Nickelodeon fighting game. Feel free to talk about potential crossovers as well, but make sure you mostly focus on the Nick characters to prevent the discussions from going off topic.

Heh. I thought this was a clone of the Super Brawl thread before I clicked.

Well, I think the ATLA (The Last Airbender) series has the most fitting characters and mechanics for a fighting game. Just imagine Aang's potential movelist.

Yes! I was thinking Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, Zuko, and Korra would be what we need. No more than that though. Gotta save room for the other franchises.

And I originally mentioned my ideas on that thread, but that thread died and the thread was about Nick Super Brawl, so I thought it'd be more appropriate to make a thread dedicated to this topic.

Then, here's a list of potential hypers for them (Just Aang for now, gonna add some more later):

• Aang
  • Lv1 - Elemental Rush - Savage strike using all 4 elements. Hits 16 times, 4 for each element.
  • Lv2 - Nomad's Vengeance - Summon Monk Gyatso to assist Aang. Passive hyper; Gyatso triples all Air-elemental moves' damage and counters attacks for Aang.
  • Lv3 - Avatar State - Enter the Avatar State. All damage output is doubled, movement speed is doubled, allows stringing moves together and dealing extra hits with each and every attack, auto-block attacks, but takes double damage from unblockable attacks and staggers more easily. As a reference to the ending of "The Crossroads of Destiny" where Aang is killed by Azula's lightning, all lightning attacks immediately connects and deals heavy damage to Aang.

Sounds cool man! The Avatar State definitely needs to be one of his hypers. As for using all the elements, I think they should be just for one hyper only (like the one you suggested), because I was thinking that Korra should have the "four elements" gig, while Aang mostly uses air.

Don't really like the idea of a level 3 hyper potentially weakening a character. Is the OHKO thing really necessary, or can we just make it so Aang can't block any lightning based attack?

Well, I wasn't really agreeing to the lightning part, but yeah, maybe just make it that electricity is the only thing that does significant damage to him in the Avatar State. But it shouldn't be a One-Hit KO.

Guessing by the Hypers, I guess we are going with the game being like Marvel Vs Capcom route, but that's fine, because thats how I think it would be.

Anywho, I agree that Aang should be focused on Air. Korra is much more attuned with the others than Aang.

ETA: Are there any Avatar fighting games out there? Fangames, even?

The funny thing is, I was thinking of doing a Hasbro Fighting Game, with Playstation All Stars gameplay. I guess if we can do stuff like this, I suppose I could make a thread of my own...

...But shouldn't this go under the "build your own fighting character" thread?

If you wanna make a thread like that, go for it! Just don't go off topic here (sorry if I'm sounding harsh).

Hehehe..... but wouldn't Cat Dog be a bit more awkward in a Smash-style game compared to a Capcom Vs Whatever one? But anyway, if you'd prefer Smash suggest some more ideas, that'd be great!

Maybe Cat Dog's fighting style could be that when fighting as Cat, Dog could act as his legs, and vice versa when playing as Dog.

Then again, it's been years since I seen Cat Dog...

As for ideas, well... Maybe I could think up a moveset for Eliza Thornberry.

As for specific ideas, I have nothing at the time, but I agree that something in the vein of SSB (done well, of course) would be the direction to go in.

Any locales you guys think would make for a good stage?

Stoop Kid's Stoop. Players fight to stay on the small space as Stoop Kid (who is afraid to leave) attempts to discipline the trespassers.

That sounds like it'd make for an awesome event match.

Well to be honest, I would like it if all the cast in this hyperthetical game were Nicktoons. And even then, it shouldn't be licensed stuff like (Dragon Ball GT, Iron Man Armored Adventures), or shows who are made by them but aren't their property (The Penguins Of Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda Legends Of Awesomeness).

I think it should just have the main Nicktoons: Sponge Bob Square Pants, The Fairly Odd Parents, Danny Phantom, The Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron, Avatar The Last Airbender, Invader Zim, Cat Dog, The Angry Beavers, Rugrats, The Wild Thornberrys, Rockos Modern Life, Aaahh Real Monsters, The Ren And Stimpy Show, Tuff Puppy..... stuff like that. They are the most iconic of Nickelodeon's shows anyway. But maybe thats just me.

As for stages, the Ghost Zone would be cool.

@Diurnal Brocolli - Well I think its perfectly possible for them to fight on all-fours. Ivysaur showed it could be done in Brawl, while Amaterasu showed it could be done in Marvel Vs Capcom 3.

@CTM - Personally, the only Rugrats character I think would work would be Reptar!

@ Miru: Power Rangers has nothing to do with Nickleon.

I think Tommy Pickles could work as a fighter by piloting an upgraded Reptar Wagon.

@ABRICK. Power Rangers does air on Nick. And some Madagascar characters are in Super Brawl.
