I don't see any reason to make such a change that would justify the effort of moving a ton of material from its current location. The current system works.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I never said that the existing pages have to be moved. I'm just asking for such a namespace to be made for those who do want to move them to a new namespace. The existing system may stay for existing works.

What is the procedure for launching a new Namespace, anyway?

I don't know. The Troper Wall namespace was just made by enough users to create a page under that namespace. Example section splits by nature also create new namespaces. I think this thread exists because there may be work pages that need to be moved.

New namespaces can be created by anyone, technically. (That's going to change if and when we get a new page creation system.) However, you should only really do that when splitting pages and such. New media namespaces for works should be decided upon by this thread or somewhere similar, though, because we want to make sure they're appropriate and that everyone knows how to categorise works properly. When a new medium namespace has been decided upon, simply start shifting pages as usual.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. How will the page creation system deal with example section splits?
I remember it was by an ad hoc namespace.

...sounds like I've got a project for the 4th of July weekend...

I also listed the reasons for listing Unpublished Works on Unpublished/, too.
I put Tweetsie Railroad in "Ride/", even though it's a theme park.

I'm not LGBT. I just think Rain's really cool. Apologies if my humor gets too painful.I've thought about moving my own works to Unpublished/ first, even if it would be an ad hoc namespace. Since it is entirely my pages, I think this would be okay but I want to make sure it really doesn't violate any rules.
I do not agree with the idea that you can put your own works into a special namespace (or create one), just because they are your works.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThey are theoretically for works in the Unpublished Works index. Troper Works stay on media namespaces.
Can a page have more than one namespace, like with indices?
No.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSo, does Tweetsie Railroad go in "Ride/"?

I'm not LGBT. I just think Rain's really cool. Apologies if my humor gets too painful. The only other alternative I can think of is "Main/" (like Disney Theme Parks), but since that's frowned upon, "Ride/" will have to do.
—R.J.
In light of that, I put "(covers both rides and theme parks)" on the namespace entry.
I also think "Toyline/" would be a better namespace than "Toys/", mostly because I like singular namespaces better than plural namespaces.

I'm not LGBT. I just think Rain's really cool. Apologies if my humor gets too painful. It seems that Ride/ is an acceptable namespace, if we're going to cover them.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Yeah, that's what I thought. Here's some more questions? (I also changed my previous post.)
So, do I put Disney Theme Parks in "Ride/"? I also used it for "Halloween Horror Nights".
Does "AlternateRealityGame/" work on a last-resort basis, like for The Wall Will Fall (The namespace did start ad hoc.)? Would I Love Bees fit? How about Metacortechs? I'm the least sure about The Hunt For The Gangadiddle because it seems like it'd work better on "WebVideo/".

I'm not LGBT. I just think Rain's really cool. Apologies if my humor gets too painful. That's a bit long for a namespace. Maybe shorten it to ARG/. And yes, Disney Theme Parks should be moved.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"To "Ride/" right?
There aren't too many works with "AlternateRealityGame", so I guess it's safe. TEST: ARG.The Wall Will Fall. "WesternAnimation/" is long enough.
I'm being redundant by saying this, but I think that "Toys/" should be changed to "Toyline/". Mainly because I like singular namespaces better than plural namespaces. Then again, we do have "Tropers/".

I'm not LGBT. I just think Rain's really cool. Apologies if my humor gets too painful.Apologies for the double post, but I think we should have namespaces "Program/" for programs that aren't really game, maybe "App/" for non-game apps, and maybe "System/".
I'm not LGBT. I just think Rain's really cool. Apologies if my humor gets too painful.I disagree. If it's not media in and of itself, it goes in Useful Notes. And its inclusion has to serve some purpose relevant to the wiki. We care about stuff that has tropes.

Can there be an Unpublished/ namespace for Unpublished Works? Currently they're lumped with Darth Wiki, giving the pages such a dark skin that is not standard for other work pages. Pages in the Unpublished/ namespace can also be ignored in the "related to" lists for pages.
