What exactly do we mean by "pins"?

A "pin" would be the ability to always have a given post display a given avatar, as opposed to your currently active one. Similar to how mods always have a Mod Hat post show the same avatar, except obviously not nearly as impressive or authoritative.

The only possible counter I have to that would be to dress up my tuxedo cat in a French maid outfit... but that would just be to prove that a French maid cat boy works just as well.

Also, I've never known a cat to decrease the amount of mess around it.

Pin an avatar to a specific post so that it doesn't change when the troper changes their general avatar. I suppose we also need to make it so that an avatar can pinned for a particular thread.

Looks like we have enough ideas and acceptance of the whole idea that I can start building the page that sells this stuff.

Badges will be 24x24. You guys can start selecting images for them and making them, I guess.

  • Access to the full hexadesimal collor options
  • Additional text formats/fonts
• Other
  • More/Custom emoticons
  • Colored usernames
  • Different backgrounds
  • Other reasons for people to earn free badges.

Note that none of the details are finalized.

Also, no curent functionality/options will be removed if at all possible (with the exemption of unlimited avatars).

We don't know yet. We don't even know for sure if the "paying for avatar space" is going to happen.

But if it does happen, expect to be paying every 4 months. That way the forum has a steady stream of income.

At this point, I think he knows what options he likes and is working on setting up the shop.

General idea is that premium accounts get to use more colors, fonts, can attach avatars to posts, etc.

At the moment the idea is that avatar galleries would have to be bought separately from the premier account.
