I'd recommend.
This post has been powered by avenging fury and a balanced diet. How is the adept archetype working for you?
I`m playing as a Rigger right now, but every time I have a physical adept in my team it always seem less effective than other characters.
Why there are so many spiders on my head?Yeah I'd recommend it. It's a solid game, the combat is great and it's got the mechanics in place for some potentially great campaigns like DL Cs or modded campaigns. The OC is fairly linear but fun.
It was worth the $15 I paid.
Oh you damned sleazy bastard. The last five minutes of the game pinballs me around from wanting to hug him and clocking him in the jaw.
As others have said, the OC is linear, combat-heavy and short. It'd be best to think of it as an introduction of sort, a showcase of the game's potential. As for myself, I simply can't wait for the player made modules. Hopefully the dev had the foresight to make the editor intuitive, through.
Nope, just the opposite. The editor is a half-baked piece of shit with more issues than Detective Comics, from not displaying the FX any differently than by icons that don't tell you anything, through lighting being viewable only in game, through the necessity to have the game running in background before you use the "test" feature in the editor (because it's apparently too stupid to launch the game by itself), to everything clipping with everything on a seemingly random basis with no way to change it.
Oh, also, you can't edit any inventory. So you can't, for example, rename the Fuchi deck to Novatech, just so it feels more like 2061 instead of 2056.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisThe devs themselves apparently didn't have as many issues with the editor, provided it's really the whole devkit and not a severely crippled compilation of their tools.
Weeell...
- You can't edit any items, period.
- You can't edit hireable shadowrunners, period.
- You don't really see how the FX look, or how the level lighting turns out in practice.
- This game had bullshots!
- Some tiles are clearly unfinished and/or not meant to be used.
Well, that sure didn't prevent someone doing mod that adds items from original P&P
So, I'm going to start recommending fan-adventures.
Life on a Limb is a very open adventure, with multiple sidequests, areas and events that you will stumble on simply by exploring the area. The no-save problem gets worse in this kind of adventure, where one fight that you started by accident could undo multiple quests.
Antumbra is a stand alone run where you have to infiltrate a club and deliver a box. I really liked it, very focused but still gives you some neat options to deal with the problem and two endings. I recommend a mage or a samurai for this one.
Why there are so many spiders on my head? This game. Just bought. So AWESOME!
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Huh, I see nobody here has commented on Dragonfall
I beat it. Much better campaign. Though I crashed in the final battle.
I went Oh, Crap! at the end when Lofyr offered me a job. If he wasn't talking to me in my face I would have turned him down but I'm not going to say no to him IN PERSON.
Did you let APEX live? I figured I'm not taking that risk. A free AI would be functionally immortal and could turn nasty for any number of reasons during the indefinite amount of time it might continue existing. Also, the whole Communion thing was creepy as fuck.
I'm having trouble with the Universal Brotherhood mission: I have no money to pay mercenaries with, because I spent it all before the funeral on cybernetic augmentations, and didn't get any money thereafter! Isn't there any Level Grinding available where I can collect munnays?
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. No, there is zero grinding. The amount of money you can accumulate is essentially fixed. Cybernetics is probably the only thing that could actually leave you broke if you go all out with them.
Well, put those cybernetics to good use. Unless you're playing on the highest difficulty or managed to completely gimp your character it should be manageable.
I have to beat the entire brotherhood by my lonesome?!
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Couldn't you at least bring Coyote? She doesn't charge you IIRC. Or was she not available at that point, I don't remember.
I tried but I don't know how to make her come.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Soooo the Bloodline quest. The DNA Donor list paydata gets more horrifying when you have translated the project data :P And you can just sell that data on new? What. What the heck they wanted that thing for anyway? I mean, is Aztech Nazis or just kinda mad?
Handle, just rewind to a point before you loaded up on cyberware.
Yup, that's what I did. Anyway, with proper tactics, the funeral is easy to beat.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.@Spooky: Aztechnology is capital-E Evil: they partake in Blood Magic, wanton environmental destruction, war crimes as a matter of policy, brutal repression of the Catholic Church, stealing the other corporations' property in Aztlan, and a lot more I can't think of right now. Don't be surprised to find them engaging in anything unethical or immoral in the name of profit.

I'm nowhere close to finish, but I would give it a recommendation. Especially since there's likely to be a good amount of user content coming out.
