Some games are hard, and some games are easy. But no matter how hard it is, there are games that just make you feel ultra badass, even if they are easy. So what are the games that make you feel like a true badass?

The first thought I had was Dynasty Warriors. Mowing down a bunch of soldiers like grass is an experience that can only be explained by playing it, even if the difficulty is pathetic at times.

And Prince of Persia also comes into mind. Admit it, every time you chain wall running, jumping, climbing, and landing, you say to yourself, shit, I did that!

If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked.

Metal Slug, but only if you're good at it.

Shadow of the Colossus. I am the epic hero.

I AM THE EPIC HERO.

Also Sonic Generations and Colors. It may be a bit silly but...I do feel so badass being a fast rat.

Ninja Gaiden. Doom. Warhammer 40000 Space Marine. Contra. Dungeon Fighter Online. Etrian Odyssey too, oddly enough.

It's kinda hard to feel like a badass in most First-Person Shooter games since your gun feels like it does all the work and/or because you spend a lot of time behind walls. Doom is the exception since you're dodging and weaving so much, because you're taking enemies on face-to-face, and because of the Chainsaw. Same deal with Space Marine.

The amount of firepower you can bring to bear in Contra and Dungeon Fighter Online is completely ludicrous, and Etrian Odyssey makes you feel like the commander of a truly elite squadron of adventurers. And when you get your attacks in right the dance of swinging blades and spraying blood is downright beautiful.

Ninja Gaiden's the top one though. A warrior is judged by the quality of his enemies, and the beasties and soldiers that they send after you in that series feel like they'd make mincemeat of any other group of Mooks. For crissakes, the baseline baddy from NGII is a abyssal demon the size of a pickup truck.

Probably Saints Row: The Third (I run around, shoot stuff, and find new ways to shoot stuff or otherwise wreak havoc), Serious Sam ('nuff said), Rage (combat's not new, but the weapons make things interesting) and Zeno Clash (you punch guys, you kick guys and sometimes even get to shoot or throw them).

Mass Effect 3.

Somehow, heads exploding helps matter greatly.

Also Skyrim sometimes.

I only have felt what you´re talking about with hard fast paced games, that ones which pushes my attention to the limit. And only when you start to do brags and fancy stuff.

I would say: Metal Slug Series, N the way of the ninja, Devil May Cry 3, Dawn of War 1, Mirror´s Edge (only the trials) and ...

And I can´t remember more right now.

There was a stage in the first Mega Man Zero that put you up against a jillion Pantheons. No clever platforming or quick reflexes, just slash slash slash.

Made you really feel like a Legendary Hero.

Knights of the Old Republic I and II, late game, when you basically become an unstoppable force of nature.

With cannon shot and gun blast smash the alien. With laser beam and searing plasma scatter the alien to the stars.

There may be examples from my recent years of gaming, but one I remember is when I was younger, and I really enjoyed playing Rise Of Nations on the PC. I loved the sensation, of building up your territory, crafting a massive military force, and then driving into enemy territory and watching your borders consume their own. It was just great.smile

Tekken, Bayonetta and Devil May Cry if I'm doing well, Assassin's Creed and The Darkness if I'm doing okay.

Almost all of the games I play make me feel badass.

Well, recently I replayed Phoenix Wright and nothing makes me feel more awesome than winning via intellectual beatdown.

DEVIL MAY CRY OH SO MUCH. Also... Infamous, Bayonetta, Asura's Wrath, God of War and Kingdom Hearts 2. Skyrim would count if it wasn't so stiff.

Another vote for Devil May Cry. And one for Skyrim too, once I get past the early stages anyways.

Dark Souls Nothing makes you feel more badass than beating a particularly hard boss in that game. Plus aside from having reincarnation the character really no more than a normal human and you're taking on God, Dragons, and Chaos Demons.

Burnout 3, baby. In most other racing games, ramming into your opponents might knock them around a little bit and slow you down a lot. In this game, ramming your opponent will usually send them flying into a wall, or traffic. You're encouraged to be badass, as drifting like a king, slipping by traffic, and the aforementioned making opponents crash helps build your boost, which makes you go reeeeeeeeally fast. Also, you have an ability no one else does- after crashing, to slow down time, maneuver your wreck, and try to take others with you. It feels so good.
