And another thing: I liked that they actually added a Tali flashback and removed Liara (and Joker, for some reason), but... why did it flash back to Thane as well right before the power conduit blew? Is it because he died? Miranda died, but she didn't get a flashback until that other sequence where Mordin, Legion, and EDI also got flashbacks... not that I'm complaining or anything.
...x3 Oh, sad to hear that, I hope it does not spread.

I will comment on the rest in a moment. Still reading the post.
Instead, I have learned a horrible truth of existence...some stories have no meaning.Where's Lily?
#IceBearForPresidentx4West Colorado Springs is on fire. A wildfire jumped a ridge due to 60 mile an hour wind gusts, and lit the section of the city on fire.
Everything from the Airforce Academy(in the North), as far east into Colorado Springs proper as I-25, and south to Garden of the Gods(one of the major east-west roads in the city) has been evacuated. ~20k people in total evacuated. And the fire is spreading(southeast, so far)...
The cynical view, as to why the national guard hasn't been called, is that the county voted 80-20 for the other gubernatorial nominee in the last election...
Not really important to the thread... But if i disappear for 3-4 days, this is probably the reason as opposed to anything else.
I never really understood the flashback changes, in the EC, myself. Some of them make more sense, but others make less sense.

I believe the flashback before Shepard's death is based on how much Bio Ware believed said deaths would affect the fans.
Though, you chose Destroy, right? When I chose Destroy it showed me Anderson, EDI, then Tali.
It only showed me Thane for Control.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I chose Destroy, of course. It showed me Anderson, Thane, and Tali.
...@Swish
Wow. Well I hope for the best.
I need to watch the news more often.

#IceBearForPresidentThe flashback basically only shows people that died now, and the LI.
Thane is probably the default if other parameters aren't met.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Agreed. I also like Refuse, or rather, I liked it before Bioware trolled me and told me the next cycle used the Crucible.
Yes, they altered those scenes. If you compare the two you will see that the whole Relay structure used to explode, not just the spinning rings. And when the Normandy is trying to outrun the Space Magic, the original scene showed sparks coming out of the consoles as if the ship was being damaged, and when the Space Magic finally catches up with the ship, the engines used to explode. This doesn't happen in the current version. The change actually rendered the whole scene of the crashed Normandy completely pointless; it should have been completely excised.
Also, I cannot grasp the logic behind that "save face" thing. I mean, if they had said that they would change the endings, people would have been happier. All of that "artistic vision" hogwash made things worse.
She...she does that?
'Tis a huge improvement over teleporting squadmates and plotholes, but the scene is a bit amusing. Harbinger just stares at the Normandy and lets it fly away as the characters abuse Talking Is a Free Action.
'Tis not even deep philosophical bullshit. 'Tis some crappy comparison that attempts to sound smart.
Did you watch the new Synthesis and Control endings? The Author Tractness of Synthesis is through the roof in this EC. 'Tis basically a sunshine and rainbow endings an EDI says that "these are our first steps into a new future where organics and synthetics can coexist".
The slideshow was too...general. Yes, I care about the galaxy as a whole, but show me a bit more of the characters I care about, please.
I didn't mind this. But again, I like downer endings and bittersweet ones.
A bit of good taste, yes. The previous one was insulting.
That sucks Swish, I hope everything turns out all right. You probably won't read this because 'tis at the end of a wall of text, but still.

Instead, I have learned a horrible truth of existence...some stories have no meaning.I'm going to watch them right now... I just used the term Author Tract because that's what Zephyr called them, and I just kind of took his word.
Yup. You didn't bring her?
I have a feeling someone the team has a really big ego, and they don't want to look submissive towards the fanbase.

...Good luck swish.
Good summary CPF.
Good hunting Anfa.
Good night tropers.
Fuck the catalyst.
Indeed. Fuck the Catalyst.
...oh, and good luck as well Swish.
...Good luck Swish.
Thinking on it, I really don't like the Extended Synthesis ending. I know that the writers didn't want to alienate anyone by saying that their favorite (or least disliked) ending was a bad choice, but still, between the fact that it is still SPACE MAGIC, the Reapers helping galactic civilization of their own free will and bringing Keiji back as an AI, it just seems way too idealistic. Especially considering that the Catalyst says that the last time he tried it, it didn't work.

That seems a lot like that cliched "sunshine and lollipops and also the Reapers turn into ice cream" ending that a lot of pro-ending people were mocking.

...x4 Good nights! ^^
Heheheheh. True.
I have yet to play it. I saw what happens via You Tube and the person who uploaded the video didn't have Tali romanced.

Instead, I have learned a horrible truth of existence...some stories have no meaning. From what I could gather, Anfa, every love interest has that touching moment but only if you bring them along with you to rush the beacon.
You know, this bothered me the most. Not because of the abuse itself. I'm fine with that. It's because they basically say talking is not a free action when you're talking to the catalyst and wanting valid explanations...
I understand the use of the trope and the need for it Take Your Time to be averted... But it really bothers me that the Normandy/Harbinger thing is okay but you can't talk with the Catalyst because "the Reapers are killing everyone".
Thanks... But I'd rather the luck go with the firefighters than anything else. Temperatures aren't supposed to go below 80 at night any time over the next 10 days(and every day is forcasted in the triple digits). It's going to be far tougher fighting the fire than evacuating if it spreads...

Just watched the Synthesis ending... and the quarian is unmasked, in-game, with a fully visible face. How much longer must this have taken them to do? And they couldn't do that for Tali?
Other than that, yeah, the Synthesis ending is pretty much the annoying mary sue author tract that I heard it was. The image of the Reapers glowing green and helping everyone rebuild willingly (or because Starchild told them to) permanently put an end to their menace. And everyone with glowing eyes looks creepy as hell. And Hackett isn't the narrator.

...A complaint about Extended Synthesis which I forgot to mention despite probably being my biggest gripe about it. [[spoiler:It's implied that the husks regain their former selves.] Not only is that stupid, it leads to loads of Fridge Horror
The reason Harbinger doesn't shoot the Normandy is because he really loves drama. He saw that and went, "Yes, this is a sweet and touching moment. I will allow it. Continue."
Ties in with his genre savviness.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. That's not made in the game engine.

Fair enough. Though a "This hurts you" as he torches the Normandy and all aboard would also be "dramatic" and rather genre savvy.
Edit: Note to self: Go through that sequence with less than 2k EMS. See if that actually happens... If it doesn't, the complaint is valid.

It looked like it was... either way, it still looks like they put a lot more effort into it than Tali's actual face.
I read that quote in Harby's voice. I am now okay with that scene.

...I don't know, I kinda like that about the husks. Fridge Horror very much applies however. Sure human husks, marauders, banshees, harvesters, and ravagers might get off kinda easy, but cannibals are batarian husks with a human for an arm while brutes are krogan husks with a turian head.
Bioware, take note. Next DLC, if you don't have enough EMS, then this happens.

#IceBearForPresidentI was disappointed that I didn't even hear a "SHEPARD!" from Harbinger. He used to love saying Shep's name? What happened to the largest ham in the universe?
"For all those whose cares have been our concern, the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die."
This one can be explained in that Harbinger was busy destroying the rest of the battalion. It doesn't make sense for question 5 though, since Harbinger was staring right at the Normandy as it took off.
^ Wah?
