Save Game Trope Fill In

It was brought up by Raso in the TRS thread for Start To Save that we are missing a bunch of tropes relating to save games. I've started three right now, but I'm at my limit for YKTT Ws right now. If anyone wants to pick up any of these, please feel free:

• Save Game (supertrope)
  • Auto-Save
  • Checkpoint Save
  • Save Anywhere (going to the menu to save or even like Mass Effect 3 hit select to save.)
    • Combat Save Lockout locked out of saving while in combat.
  • Quick Save (disambig for the below)
    • One Time Quick Save (handheld version)
    • PC Quick Save (save with a button press, usually on P Cs)
  • Save Point s (usually very conspicuous.)
    • Healing Checkoint
  • Restrictive Save no actual Save Point s are found on your journey you must return to town or world map to save. These get ported to a Handheld expect a Quick Save to be added.
    • World Map Only Save (first 3 Final Fantasy games had this)
    • Hub Level Saving Only
  • Creative Saving like praying at a church. or using a typewriter Call a moogle
  • Objective Save like only save when you get a star or beat a castle in Mario games.
  • Password Save OLD SCHOOL.
  • Cutscene Save: cutscenes are so long they give you a save opportunity in the middle of them.
  • Only One Save File popular with handhelds you can only save in one slot Save Scumming is a no go also replay means delete your old game.
  • Three Saves: industry standard till Memory Card s became popular not too many to where Save Scumming is easy but still allows for replays.
  • Save Token: Save from an item in your inventory

Save-Game Limits already covers Only One Save File and Save Token, and Checkpoint Starvation covers Checkpoint Save, Restrictive Save, and Objective Save. How does one queue a request for a split at TRS?

We should put Save Scumming.

If you're splitting a subtrope, you can just do it in YKTTW. You don't need a TRS.

I've started to sort the examples in Save-Game Limits because I think it might boost the chance that taking such a split to YKTTW would gather enough support to succeed. Am I thinking straight?

Seems like a good plan to me.

I feel like we probably have enough for a real index page now.

Should Save-Game Limits still have a Consumable Item section now that Save Token is up?

Some of the stuff in there isn't Save Tokens, so it either needs to stay or be redefined.
