I like how at the end of this latest chapter they're freaking out about Zombina falling prey to the hallucinogen, but it's probably going to lead to a joke about how she's dead, so why would she need to breathe in the first place?

Here's a preview of the new character album that will come out August 17, letting us hear a bit of each song sung by the MON girls! I only know that Manako's is titled "Aim", don't remember the others. Doppel's song is pretty clever and fitting to a trickster like her . Despite what the cover suggests there's no Smith, but there are a couple of ANM 48 songs like "Everyday Animal Ears" (or whatever). Enjoy!

I managed to track down Gekkan Comic Ryu, meaning I can read the latest chapter! Woohoo.

And unfortunately, I have no typesetting experience... just translation, really. I have trouble making things look centered and well-kerned in Word, for god's sake.

If I had more free time I'd offer to take a swing at it, but I really don't. I'm actually going to be moving in a couple of months and I need to pack up all my stuff.

Okay, to comment on Kiira, I find the fact that her abdomen is like smack the middle of her back sort of irritating. Like I am no expert on insects, but that just bothers me a bit. Like, how does she even sleep?

It's pretty standard practice for bee girls, I think; easier than figuring out how to give an abdomen a shapely and attractive derriere. That said, the whole matter of internal organs and stuff ends up a bit more Fridge Logic-ish in that construction than, say, centaurs.

That's probably why one rather creative-minded artist went with a different approach to the anatomy here. Basically, it follows the appearance of a humanoid body, but the structural analogies are not as obvious; the equivalent of the insect thorax, in particular, extends almost all the way to and including the pelvis analogue, acting as a "backbone" for the abdomen to rest on.

I am pretty sure I have never seen a bee/wasp/hornet/you get the idea girls with the stinger tail that high. It is generally where you would place a tail in. Even Monster Musume Online does that, if you look at Honey.

Yeah, I imagine Hani and Quinn are designed the same way. Same universe/same design sense, after all.

It's weird because sticking the abdomen halfway up the back isn't actually wrong in any real sense. There's no analogous structures in humans that naturally fit. It's not like a tail where there's a clear place to stick it on the end of the spine.

In fact, since it's basically a bonus gut that's pretty much the most logical place to put it, like you have extra arms sticking out of the shoulders.

I think the main problem is that if you put the stinger where a tail would normally go it would be incredibly difficult to actually sting anybody with it since it would barely extend past the butt. There has to be some sort of extension there. I do agree that it looks kind of weird though. She almost looks more like a girl with a wasp body attached than an actual wasp girl.

In any case, I'm wondering exactly what she wants revenge for since I don't believe it was ever really spelled out. Unless I just missed it because I was busy last night and skimmed kind of quickly.

Her motives are explained in the beginning of chapter 45. SPOILERS.

She wants revenge on Rachnee for ensnaring her, causing her to freak out which in turn got her put on the "dangerous species" watchlist.

She is definitely not making the argument against her any less valid.

Oh man, that makes her getting caught in Rachnee's web in this chapter hilariously ironic. Not to mention the "Who are you calling a dangerous species!? ATTACK WASP SWARM!" factor. That is not a good way to prove you aren't a threat.

Since it seems we're not getting high-quality scans of Chapters 39 and onwards anytime soon, I'm catching up on my backlog for this manga.

• Chapter 39: OMG ZOMBINA IS A YAOI FANGIRL! Poor Kurusu.
• Chapter 40: ... Correct me if I'm wrong, but does the ending mean that what Kurusu wanted from Doppel was for her to wear those clothes? I don't get it.
• Chapter 41: Not 10 pages in and he finds himself in a highly compromising position. And Kurusu, it's obvious what's dangerous about giving to Tio: Death by suffocation in cleavage.
• Chapter 42: ... What the hell kind of people has MON been apprehending to confiscate from them all these weird outfits? Seriously, what kind of modern criminal would wear a Zen priest outfit, or a spacesuit?
• Chapter 43: ... Wow, I didn't expect Miia to have so much trouble finding a job. LOL at what she did at the gym, though.
• Chapter 44: Badass Cerea is awesome. And Kiira is rather ugly for a bee girl IMO.

To answer your question:

• Yes, Kimihito want her to wear clothes. she can change her skin to include clothes, doesn't matter. It's the principle of things. And of course she's embarassed; that's like your normal average guy suddenly forced to wear tacky, campy, "ethnic" dress. In public.
• Various suit: We can safely assumes those belong to "illegal immigrant" that didn't quite get it.
