Yes exactly.
Unfortunately, the theory of the ramen guy being behind it was Jossed.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. And seeing as Lancelot, flaws aside, is ultimately a heroic figure, he can indeed be made to see reason.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariTo what are you reacting?
"You cannot erase God with an edict."-Romney WordsworthProbably to me citing Nerve Damage.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. That fic seems to be very polarizing.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I guess so. I haven't had the chance to check it out past the first chapter though, so I really can't judge. Seems like it runs on a lot ofRule of Cool
"You cannot erase God with an edict."-Romney WordsworthI can very much understand why. That being said, I mostly appreciate it as an example of well-done Crazy Awesome turned Up To Eleven, and well-written battle scenes.
All I kow is that at least in concept, Napoelon!Arhcer and Simo Haya(sp?)!Assassin are concepts that are simply made of win.
"You cannot erase God with an edict."-Romney WordsworthThe entire thing is made of win due to being Crazy Awesome turned Up To Eleven.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Oh yeah, I mean it sure seems cool, but again I cannot judge from a single chapter.
"You cannot erase God with an edict."-Romney WordsworthInstead of going on about how you can't judge it, why not just read it?
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! Will do. I'll be sure to leave the author reviews as well. See you guys later!
"You cannot erase God with an edict."-Romney WordsworthNerve Damage is very much Love It or Hate It in this thread.

Different people. Back when it started, it was funny in its own absurdity. And then it tried to take itself seriously, and I was just like lolnope. Should've remained as cracky as the premise is.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariI don't think you and I read the same fic. When did it try to take itself seriously?
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I pretty much couldn't keep reading after it started introducing Loads And Loads Of Characters, and expecting me to give a damn about the author's OCs.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariI wouldn't really say that. Aside from a couple of characters here and there (namely Cain, Napoleon, and the guy who taught Shirou Word magic), pretty much everyone else is just there for awesome fight scenes. Everyone else pretty much only gets focused on so much their group gets focused on. For example, we never really get focus on anyone in Team Luvia. We just get some focus on Team Luvia.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!pretty much everyone else is just there for awesome fight scenes.
No matter how awesome the fight scenes may be, if a character exists only for fight scenes, that's generally a crappy onedimensional character.
Way to take that sentence fragment out of context by ignoring my example.
With some exceptions, we never get a lot of focus on any one person like we do in Fate/stay night or any other work. Rather, it usually focuses on groups. For example, while the focus is slightly greater on Alter, the focus is never really on any one Saber but rather on Team Shirou as a whole. Likewise, the focus is rarely, if ever, on any one Servant but rather on their team as a whole.
Since the story isn't really focusing on any one person, you probably won't end up caring for them as much as you would if they appeared in a normal Holy Grail War but you're given enough information about them that you do want to see them. It also helps that nine of the Servants are more or less exactly the same as their canon counterparts.

See, this is the problem. If I am reading a Fate Stay Night story, I want to care about the characters as much as I care about the characters in Fate Stay Night. Plain and simple.
I'm not ignoring your example, I'm just saying it's regardless not what I, and presumably others, want out of a FSN story. I don't want mere walking props for fight scense.

Have you actually read Nerve Damage?
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! You aren't doing a good job of selling it to me.
Well if Lancelot is a Berseker yes, but if he's a sane servant, its pretty plausible. Under madness enhancement Lancelot's attacks on Arturia were motivated not by hatred bur a warped sense of guilt leading to him being a Death Seeker. As a rider or a lancer his guilt would likely make reconciliation not only possible but likely.
At the very least it seems quite plausible to me that a spellcaster like one of the casters or Cu Cullahn or a servant with magical potential like Arturia or Gilgamesh. At least it seems plausible to me at least.
...Cosmic What?
