I agree. Not an actual example, too close to Digital Piracy Is Evil.

I like the Space Quest pic, it's more obvious that it's from a video game and requires the manual.

Is the vertical one too high? The pic is good, and the text on the page is enough so that it doesn't look weird.

Eh... there isn't technically a limit vertically, but having a really tall image can be annoying. It shows the text better, though.

I think the horizontal is fine, but that is a long article, okay if the image is big. Maybe somewhere in between?

Yeah, it's a shame, 'cause "Live Snakes" is a really good punchline to that joke.

Here's another Sierra example◊, from Leisure Suit Larry 3. Less text-dependent than some, although the Kings Quest one kinda looks better to me at this point.

If I recall the enhanced version of QFG 1 correctly, it actually did not have any copy protection tests whatsoever.

Sometimes I get an impression that people downvote an option just because they liked a different option better. That's not a valid reason.

It doesn't help that once you've voted for something, you can't take it back. Sometimes I'll vote something down just because I clicked on it by accident and I don't want it voted up.

Correct, QFG 1 did not have copy protection, and the statement that you need info from the manual to complete the game is a lie.
