Clock is set.
Sure. Can we have an image crowner please?
Note that the KQ 4 image is an easter egg, and not an example. See this page for details.

Blank crowner's hooked.
I agree. Not an actual example, too close to Digital Piracy Is Evil.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.I like the Space Quest pic, it's more obvious that it's from a video game and requires the manual.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.Added the first to the crowner.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. Is the vertical one too high? The pic is good, and the text on the page is enough so that it doesn't look weird.

The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Eh... there isn't technically a limit vertically, but having a really tall image can be annoying. It shows the text better, though.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I think the horizontal is fine, but that is a long article, okay if the image is big. Maybe somewhere in between?
(200)
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.
I like that; it's added to the crowner.
I would put in the third panel, but we have a thing about not using entire comics, right?
I have a message from another time...Oh yeah.
^^ Actually ... wait, nevermind.

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Yeah, it's a shame, 'cause "Live Snakes" is a really good punchline to that joke.
I have a message from another time...Here's another Sierra example◊, from Leisure Suit Larry 3. Less text-dependent than some, although the Kings Quest one kinda looks better to me at this point.
Bump for votes; as of right now:
- This pic◊ from Stratego (yes, this is from a real computer game): 5 (yeas:11 nays:6) 1.83 : 1
- Penny Arcade◊, vertical: 3 (yeas:5 nays:2) 2.50 : 1
- Penny Arcade◊, horizontal.: 2 (yeas:7 nays:5) 1.40 : 1
- King's Quest 4 easter egg◊: 2 (yeas:7 nays:5) 1.40 : 1
The rest are in the red.
If I recall the enhanced version of QFG 1 correctly, it actually did not have any copy protection tests whatsoever.
Sometimes I get an impression that people downvote an option just because they liked a different option better. That's not a valid reason.

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.It doesn't help that once you've voted for something, you can't take it back. Sometimes I'll vote something down just because I clicked on it by accident and I don't want it voted up.

Correct, QFG 1 did not have copy protection, and the statement that you need info from the manual to complete the game is a lie.
Crowner called.
Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur.Pic's up, potholed to Stratego and tagged. Caption?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'm not convinced it needs one.
Oh by the way - can we snip the page quote? Because it really illustrates Digital Piracy Is Evil, and again not this trope.

Seconding the snip. Would the quote from the Penny Arcade strip work out?
I now go by Graf von Tirol.
