A video with a good look at all the Precures, including their civilian looks.
Some personal thoughts.
- Cure Whip almost has a chance of being a Memetic Molester from the name. All joking aside, she is an adorable little pink, as they do.
- Cure Custard is adorable!
- Cure Gelato is the feisty one.
- Nice that the team sort of has bit of an age gaps in the teams like with Cure Macaron.
-
Foxy MommaCure Chocolat, the second trap Precure.
Yuuki Hayashi is doing the music. He did Gundam Build Fighters and My Hero Academia's soundtrack:
Expect an awesome soundtrack.
Watch SymphogearSo, uh... Akira Kenjo is a girl, right?
I don't know, need to see more to make a good judgment. I'm not very convinced so far.
BTW, Akira is actually a dog. Still looks like a fox to me.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!x2
Shes basically the same as Itsuki: a girl that could easily be mistaken for a boy. Unless there's a plot twist and Akira is actually the first male Precure that's a main character. Mofurun doesn't count because while he is technically the first male Precure that's limited to a movie.
Is Mofurun really male, though? I really can't tell.
EDIT: I think Mofurun's gender was confirmed being female somewhere.

Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Given Mofurun has a Cure form, she's undoubtedly a girl.
My name has nothing to do with Psychonauts. Also, the voice cast:
- Ichika Usami/Cure Whip: Karen Miyama
- Himari Arisugawa/Cure Custard: Haruka Fukuhara
- Aoi Tategami/Cure Gelato: Tomo Muranaka
- Yukari Kotozume/Cure Macaron: Saki Fujita
- Akira Kenjo/Cure Chocolat: Nanako Mori
... The only one I know is Saki Fujita. Damn, it seems Precure is promoting some of the less mainstream people more and more. The one who voices Honey was pretty flat at the beginning, but I think she's decent enough in later episodes. I still don't forgive Toei for casting Nao Touyama as a mascot, though.
47. I think evil lady just blew up thousands of people. And nobody batted an eye. Like come on, be somewhat more horrified than usual at the slaughter that definitely occurred in the middle of your city. Hey, she managed to just avoid getting killed. Good guy Deusmast, caring for his beloved minions. He even brought back the failures. This show really likes bringing back villains. Time to blow up the worlds. Or merge them? I'd like to hope for a more interesting motivation from Deusmast, but it's probably going to have a lame explanation. If this stays, it's going to make the next All Stars movie really awkward.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. Its been implied that there won't be another traditional All Stars movie because the cast has become too bloated.

Watch SymphogearNo that's confirmed. We know for a fact that Dream Stars will only include the Cures from Gopri, Maho, and Kirakira.
Which changes my point not one bit.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.Info and the trailer for the next PreCure movie.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!48. This should have been the series right here. Mixing up up the Mundane and Magic Worlds and directly trying to build a bring of friendship and trust between two worlds suddenly intertwined. Keep the first half normal, but that's what the second half should have been. Of course this show has to show all its potential when it's too late to change anything. Deusmast's origins are boring, but making the minions its speaking voice is different. Makes up for it not having a character I guess.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.I liked this episode: it had a very Crisis on Infinite Earths feel to it. The mashed up worlds, the looming threat, the quick glimpses of the various people the Precure girls interacted with.
In all honesty, rewriting the plot that way wouldn't work nor make sense because then we'd be left wondering how and why the worlds ended up that way. Plus, doing In Medias Res that way isn't exactly tasteful among young children (the intended audience) — especially for a 50 episode series.
I like the fact that we got to explore both sides of the Magic Versus Science contrast throughout this show from Mirai and Liko's perspectives respectively. It really does make the sudden merge all the more jarring for both them and us.
These two may literally be more bark than bite, but they are no less tenacious than everyone else. You don't have to merge them the same way as what happened. Maybe the midseason boss ends up revealing magic to Earth, or the city and magic school get merged and everyone realizes what's off, etc. Something like that would be more interesting than the really standard fare we ended up getting.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. Not every story in the fantasy genre is willing to break its own Masquerade; and some of the ones that did didn't do so very appropriately (Doki Doki anyone?). As for Deusmast's forceful merging of the worlds, I wouldn't call that "standard fare". Rather, it simply serves the franchise's Save Both Worlds mantra in a different way. Also, it's not just a simple matter of defeating Deusmast either as the Principal showed us in this episode.
These two may literally be more bark than bite, but they are no less tenacious than everyone else. All the regular filler is what I was calling the standard affair, not the finale. The finale seems fine, but the filler was pretty boring and rarely did anything interesting. Bringing this plot point in earlier could have made for something interesting.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.I'll play a bit of Devil's Advocate on that. Yes, it is technically filler; but that makes sense considering the franchise is built on half Slice of Life and half Fighting Series. Whether or not you personally enjoy said filler or find it interesting is up to you. I will state that...
- I enjoyed the fact that we had many Santas for the Christmas Episode rather than only one.
- I enjoyed having Mirai and Liko being turned into kindergarten age and seeing them struggle to maintain the Masquerade in the process.
- I enjoyed having the Magic School classmates help around the festival in the Mundane World and learn to delve into its everyday products of science (kitchenware, cleaning kits, etc.).
- I enjoyed their summer vacation in the Magic World and the Halloween Episode (unlike Go Princess' movie which that effectively was).
It may not be all that interesting to us adults/late teenagers, but we're the secondary audience. We shouldn't be too hard and nit-picky of such details.
These two may literally be more bark than bite, but they are no less tenacious than everyone else. Some of it was good. Otherwise I wouldn't still be watching. But this time it felt like more of them than usual were ripoffs of fillers from previous series or just plain bland. I'm going to blame that on only having 3/4 main characters. With 50 episodes I much prefer having a larger cast.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. That was one of the best finales this franchise has ever had.
and we're not even finished yet.

My name has nothing to do with Psychonauts.49. Hot damn that was a sweet final battle. A little short, but still epic and finally bringing the mid-battle form switching. Haa-chan knows how to act like a god. Then a very well done separation that's emotional, yet doesn't become overly cheesy like some other shows have done. The only proof that everything happened was memories. Thankfully everyone else remembered them too. And then, something different. Time skip! University Mirai! Not something I ever expected to see in Precure. Of course they finally get to reunite after all these years thanks to a little miracle and magic. And so ends another fun and uplifting chapter of this franchise.
Wait, it's not over? How was that not the last episode? That had all the emotional beats. It was satisfying. Everything was wrapped up. I hope the last episode manages to justify its existence.
The next crossover is going to be interesting in how they manage these three. The last one managed to justify the princess quartet still being around, but that's a bit tougher this time. Unless we get some sort of crazy retcon next episode, but that's unlikely. I know we're not supposed to think about that, but still.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.
Personally, I'm waiting for Esper Precure.
