Post about how happy you are and the good things going in your life.

    Original post
After going over a week wondering if Poison and I were still a couple and if he was safe, he contacted me last night. After that I had a talk with my father and sort of told him about the plans Poison and I have, but stressed that we're not going to do it until we're at least in our mid twenties, and he was very happy.

Sonic Generations, my first self-christmas gift(the other being Mario Kart 7) arrived today, along with Rayman Origins, which I can't play until the big "X". My Lady Gaga concert Blu-Ray movie(Over two hours long with an amazing set list) is on its way, and next week my complete Harry Potter Years 1-7(8 pc) Blu Ray set will ship.

And finally, I'm getting back into writing. Inspiration has struck and I'm working on my book, my play, my screenplay, and I've written three more songs. Not only that, but I'm back to painting and drawing. I've realized that the reason I can't create art I'm happy with is because I'm an abstract artist. When I experiment and strive to create what I feel, I'm finally happy with my work.

Got some more great songs on my ipod, including one or two I've been wanting to get for a while!

By some bloody miracle my laptop started working again yesterday. Now I can rerecord (or re-rerecord since I already rerecorded it but the clip wasn't long enough to fit my voice) that bit of Crash 3 footage that glitched up!

Well, guys, I did it. I finally got a pool of good references together from the time I spent substitute teaching.

I submitted a job application to get my first classroom.

I think I will branch out and submit to a few more school districts, charters and non-religious private schools too.

This just feels like the right time. My colleagues have told me that I'm capable and that I should just go for it!

I just wish I would have started here in this district. Everyone has been so supportive and amazing. But now... I feel like I have a chance. Which is more than I could say before.

Well I can't believe that in about 18 hours my summer vacation finally begins! Update: it is now 7 hours and 42 minutes left.

I just had a dream that gave a bunch of great ideas for writing, and also much-needed inspiration to actually start writing. I've been needing this kind of drive for months, and I've finally gotten it. Even if it means that I'll have to start an entirely new writing project.

A really nice jacket that I ordered online came yesterday. It's a tiny bit small but not too much so; I just need to drop a few pounds so it fits a bit better around the middle.

I went to an air show today! The Thunderbirds performed and it was sick as fuck. I got to sit in the pilot seat of a tactical helicopter and got new patches for my bomber jacket. I also took a bunch of neat pictures. I can't really complain.

At our pre-class meetup for the kpop dance class I've joined, I actually managed to nail a few dances! I barely managed Dope by BTS (missed a few steps I think haha), but the three TWICE dances I did (TT, Like Ooh-Ahh and Cheer Up) were definitely more successful, with TT being the best I did all day! I actually started tearing up a bit once I realised I'd semi-successfully done a dance ahahaha (or part of it... all the dances I attempted were just the chorus lol but still that's a major accomplishment for someone with zero confidence in her dancing whatsoever)

[up] I'm glad you had fun! I love dancing!

It's official! It's summer in the city! And there's so much going on! There's a carnival in the park, and the St. Antonio Abate festival held in my neighborhood is just a few days away. They're setting up the decorations now and everything is so colorful! All the restaurants have their outdoor seating open and the place just feels so alive. The farmers market's open, the sprinkler's on across the street for me to run through whenever I want, and I hear the music from the ice cream truck multiple times a day. I went on a long walk this morning and went to parts of my neighborhood I haven't been to since last summer, since summer is the only season where I have enough time and the weather's nice enough to walk that far. I have a huge list of places in the city I want to go with my friends, and hiking trails I want to hike with my dad, and I just hope I have enough time to get it all done!! grin

And if my summer wasn't looking great enough, I'm camping in the Great Smoky Mountains in August to see the solar eclipse surprised

I do have to take a math class over the summer, but I like math so it's cool!

EEEEE-

Two things.

First off, in relation to the solar eclipse in August, it's going to be directly passing over my home town!

Secondly....

MY PARENTS JUST PROMISED TO PUT ME THROUGH COLLEGE! grin

Granted, there's a little small print, like finishing my driving lessons and such, but yay!

Now all I have to do is figure out what I want to do in life and where I want to go. tongue

[up] Awesome on both counts! Especially that second one OH MY GOODNESS!

You're so lucky to already be the in the path eclipse! But luckily I've had a trip to Tennessee planned for two years now so I'll be able to be in its path too. I look forward to sharing eclipse stories!

I continue to forget how lucky I am to have had parents who seemed to consider it practically an obligation to take care of my education costs. They would've liked me to have gotten more scholarships, but they were preparing for it from at least when I was born.

I reconnected with an old friend and we went to see Baby Driver. The movie was awesome and he seemed well. We get on really well too. Gotta try to hang with him more.
