"In the land of the insecure, the one-balled man is king." - HavenJust because this made my history nerd self twitch:
- 1) Civil war. Draft is fair game.
- 2) Once again, civil war. Martial law is fair game.
- 3) To keep more States from seceding.
- 4) Actually, he disliked it because he felt that it degraded whites and their morality. Later he actually favored black equality... and then he died.
- 5) Right for the Wrong Reasons is still right. If those foreign powers had interfered, those slaves very well could have been stuck for decades yet.
Anyhow...
Hm.
Forrest Gump is probably one of my favorite fictional people to look up to. As for real people, I like to use many Presidents of the US as decent role models.
Really, it's far too long a list, because I don't just look up to famous people/fictional characters.
~shrug~
I am now known as Flyboy.Ernest Shackleton, because he was a great Determinator who managed to keep his men together through the most extreme of circumstances and managed to save all of them. I don't care how restless his personal life was, that was a great achievement.
This is the only time this name hasn't been uttered in reference to me.
I feel like this is a milestone.
On topic: Hitler.

I actually had an actual list, but I decided that only Dovey deserved to hear my rambles about why Batman is awesome.

Humbert Humbert? Fast Eddie?! I'm a bit scared of you, now.
"In the land of the insecure, the one-balled man is king." - HavenI am disturbed by your "heroes".
Griffith? Kira? Surely you can't be serious?

I'd like to say for the record that Batman is amazing and we should all seek to emulate him.

"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."Also, emulating the almost sociopath orphan who beats people up because he isn't satisfied with being the richest person in the world is a good thing now?
"My life is my own" | If you want to contact me privately, please ask first on the forum.Batman? Should have killed Joker long ago.
—prepares big long rant as to why it'd be bad if he killed the joker—
—notices the tongue—
—decides to back out and just growl—
"My life is my own" | If you want to contact me privately, please ask first on the forum.I'm actually serious... he's too dangerous to be kept alive.
See this is why emoticons need to die in a fire. Or all keyboards need to be rigged to deliver a mild electric shock when people key them in.

Banned entirely for telling FE that he was being rude and not contributing to the discussion. I shall watch down from the goon heavens.I am seriously wishing moderate pain and inconvenience upon you now.
Who do you mean? Me or anne?
Or both?

Prometheus.
Jeanne d'Arc.
Dave Mustaine.
The Great Northern Threadkill.
My heroes...
- Charlie Wilson. Even his enemies agreed he "didn't have a hypocritical bone in his body", and that he was "the only man who could strut while sitting down". Also, loved his women and his whiskey and wasn't shy about it.
- Jimmy Buffett. The man's made a career out of not being cool, so consequently he's cool. That and he's a damn fine musician who hasn't let fame change him.
- Ernest Hemingway. He lived life to the fullest and wrote good books while doing so.
- Hunter S. Thompson. Same as above.
- Jesus Christ. He had some good things to say. It's not his fault his messages were diluted by a hundred generations of power-hungry humans.
