"In addition, Fast Eddie has decreed the page is anime-only under its current title."
What? How can a trope be applying only to one medium? It makes no sense, I though it goes by default that if there are examples, we list it, no matter from where they are, with exception of shitstormcausing reali life.
He's been doing that to a lot of tropes with anime-based names lately.
When the administrator says so.
That sounds like it could also apply to the personality of the characters(eg, "The Macho Squad" being filled to the gills with girly men). Improbably Female Cast?
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanI take your point about girly, but just female misses the young and cute aspect which seems to be part of the trope as currently defined.

Well, how about Pink Pretty Girls Ghetto, at least until we come up with something better?
I'd argue that keeps the worst parts of the name. "Pink X Ghetto" isn't terribly informative.

Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanIt seems to pertain to when girls are cast as the fighter jocks, the warriors, and the guys are relegated to support positions. The names suggested thus far don't relate that concept well. Perhaps some name having to do with Amazons would fit. Amazon Combat Team, perhaps.
Army of Toy SoldiersAn Amazon anything doesn't work at all, many examples the girls are impossibly cute (and I mean Moe cute.) or beautiful and never actually muscular like the name implies Amazonian Beauty. IE Most Magical Girl and Magical Girl Warrior series fall under this.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!That will get this confused with Amazon Brigade (which is a when a group, not necessarily most of the cast, are all female)
I like Improbably Female Cast (Improbably Pretty Girl Cast sounds like it's a cast of girls that are improbably pretty, rather than a cast that are improbably mostly female despite the setting)

Improbable Female Warriors. "Cast" sounds like it's the whole cast, when its just the ones that do the fighting that are in question.
Army of Toy SoldiersUh... the only proper examples for it are by and large anime and manga already. There's absolutely no reason to change this trope name.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Again, that title's just begging to get this mistaken for Amazon Brigade. And I'm pretty certain this trope isn't just limited to fighting series, but covers every other profession where it's inexplicable for the majority to be female. As explained in the Archived Discussion...
Rabbit: '...in favor of young cute girls, even in settings where this makes absolutely no sense,' I believe. An anime set in an all-girl's high school, or centering around an all-girl's club, wouldn't use this trope, for example.

That's not really an argument against a lousy name. The trope isn't simply "cast dominated by pretty girls" but "cast dominated by pretty girls where it makes no sense" and the title does nothing to communicate that(hell, there's at least one example that takes place in a One-Gender School on the page itself!).
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanHow about cleaning up examples so that they'll only contain ones that fit the description?
And we should add back some of the non-anime examples despite what Fast Eddie says. I don't care who he is, the admin isn't always right.
No, he's not always right. However, the "rightness" of his stance or lack there of is trumped by the fact that, for all the talk about "consensus building" and "group mind" and "what the tropers want", in the end its Eddie's sandbox and we can play here here only at his sufferance. If he decides X Action (regardless of how you define "X") will happen, it will damned well happen regardless if every single other person on the wiki disagrees with him.
Your only real options are toeing the line, or walking away from the wiki.
Being in a Japanese-produced work is not enough of a difference to warrant its own trope.I've always been somewhat surprised that this trope managed to keep its name for so damn long even when the name was begging for misuse.
So far the best suggestion has been Improbably Girly Team, or maybe Improbably Girly Cast. There is also Improbably Female-Dominated Military Squad which is a tad too long.
It was either a penguin or a panda, but the choice is far less black and white than you would think!Don't like the last one. This isn't restricted to military units.
Also, "girly" still makes me think of people acting girly (whether female or not), not "there's a lot of girls in it".
Well, if we are going into semantics, bishoujo means pretty girl (i.e. not an adult, under 18). If the trope's not about military or combatant organizations with an improbably high percentage of female personnel that are also under-aged then that's more of a reason to rename this trope.
So apparently words we want to avoid in the new trope title are "warrior" to prevent confusion with any of the amazon tropes, and "girly" to keep things clear that this trope deals with only girls, not effeminate guys as well.
It was either a penguin or a panda, but the choice is far less black and white than you would think! The names fine. I just think most of the misuse was due to the Blue Bishounen Ghetto confusion.
Doesn't matter if it's fine or not. It has to be changed or it's going to stay an anime only article.
I'm fairly certain the trope's not limited to military situations, just using that as an Example as a Thesis.

Crown Description:
Pink Bishoujo Ghetto
As it stands, this article's about works with a number of attractive young female characters that their settings argue against. However, nothing in the title indicates that limitation. In addition, Fast Eddie has decreed the page is anime-only under its current title.
